Why Do Men Keep Falling for Women's Manipulative Shaming Tactics?

I'm the culprit:

(and I am anticipating a person who believes that "historical oppression of women by men is a lie" probably doesn't believe that such a movement exists anywhere - or that the Holocaust occurred, either)

Note that I did not accuse Mr. d. of being a Holocaust denier; I anticipated that it might be the case.

Being able to deny "historical oppression of women by men" is a pretty noteworthy feat of rewriting history.

Anyway, d, I'm sorry that I obliquely implied that you were a Holocaust denier, and I'm pleased that you are not one.

I hope you will apply your interest in historical facts to the many ways women were and continue to be oppressed by (YES!) patriarchal societal constructs throughout the world.

Also, in my defense, I did not refer to, quote or address this outraged person by name - though it would be disingenuous for me to be a "denier" about which LS member reminded me of a Holocaust denier.

The fact that a few women ever held power historically does not change the fact that men made most of the laws.

Which men? None in my ancestry. If you think Elizabeth I was more hard done by than the countless nameless plebs that made up the vast majority of the UK male population up until the two world wars in which they - not her kind - were slaughtered in the millions, you're utterly wrong.

and as far as holocaust denial:

What exactly are you "tempted" to say? Holocaust denial is a serious felony in several countries, some of which I travel to on occasion. I have no illusions of strong, protected anonymity here, and see no need for posters to make these kinds of slanderous accusations. This is completely apropos of the topic, as only women are allowed to blithely go around stating or even implying that those they disagree with are "ignorant, ranting, foaming at the mouth holocaust deniers." I imagine you don't see it that way, though, and likely have a convenient rationalization at the ready.

Falsely accusing someone of trying to instigate a baseless criminal prosecution -- which is itself a crime -- is also actionable in a number of countries, including the one where you probably live. Your insinuation that you are about to be convicted of a felony on the basis of another poster making an oblique reference to Holocaust denial which does not even mention you by name is blatantly false. It also exposes a massive persecution complex and the very embrace of imaginary victimhood of which you accuse feminists. But you've already told us what you believe -- movies or literature which in any way negatively portray a male character are "slanderous", the subject of rape should be taboo (except, I suppose, to say that it doesn't happen or that women are to blame for it) and women should not be "allowed" to publicly say anything that may be even remotely disparaging of a male poster. Anything less, and you are being horribly "oppressed". Man, I suspect you'd feel oppressed by scrambled eggs, if they were placed above sausage on the menu.

Also, if you are going to persist in throwing legalese at us -- do us all a favor and use proper terminology, for ****'s sake. Because right now, you sound even more like a pretentious dilettante than you already did thanks to your other postings. Or accept the fact that you know jack **** about law and stop making veiled threats against posters whose opinions you don't like. Oh, I'm sorry, was that "shaming language"? Oh well, at least I didn't accuse of conspiring with the law enforcement to hunt me down and put me away for a million years, nor did I hint at suing you -- which is better than what you have done to your adversaries here.

Women, on the other hand, are all descended from Elizabeth I. Not from the nameless wives who were legally property of all those nameless plebs and had even fewer rights than them.
