I might offer a fresh perspective here. You need to get laid. And I'm not talking about your boyfriend laying back while you take care of business because he's too lazy or unmotivated for sex. You need to let go and be sexually fulfilled and this guy, despite how much of a friend he may be, isn't able or willing to do that for you.

 

You need to be active and to go out and do things, but again... this guy isn't doing that for you.

 

Everything you're telling us indicates what you seem to be afraid to admit: You and him are not all that compatible whether we're discussing sex, social life, or communication.
