My SO and i have been apart so far for 3 months now and am glad we are still communicating. Then hopefully he will come to me in April or else I won't see him till August, so 9 months Because he's a teacher and can only come during school holidays. My girlfriend and I did it for 7 years hehe sometimes we would go 7-8 months without seeing each other. I think it is important to know when next you will see each other again, that way at least you have something to look forward to. So I was never able to figure out a way to meet him without them finding out. Recently I made up my mind that I have to no matter what. I told my parents I'm going to meet a friend in usa but I'm not going to usa at all! Author lovesail Posted December 15, 2011 Author Share Posted December 15, 2011 hey dreamcream, 7 yrs is a long time and it should be exciting to be seeing him in less than a month. how have and your SO been communicating all that while cause its impressive how you've managed that kind of situation. I may not be the best person to give advice on this cause i've been in such a situation with my parents but here it goes... i really wouldnt know your parents' reactiion if they found out but most parents it might cause some friction. if its the right thing for you, then you take care on your way....chances are there someone may feel a lil guilty especially if there is a lie involved,but if you are ok and set for it then we'l be glad to hear how it went Link to post Share on other sites
