LONGING DI MIDNIGHTS
[font=courier new] How do you get over someone that should of been long gone(inside)? I ask this because about a 3-4 mths ago my ex broke it off with me. I thought I had accepted her leaving but there still an cold emptiness inside of me that I can't get away from. I have done everything I can to forget her but she is still there in my heart. I haven't call wrote or even attempted to contact her, but she is still here. I handle my feelings/thoughts about her well when I'm awake but for the last month I've been dreaming about her and the things we did together. I leaves me so sad when I wake up that I feel suffocated by the feelings of loss regret. I have realized that her and I shouldn't be together I just want to forget about her and how good it felt to be with her. Because no matter how hard I tried to let go it lingers constantly. Cricket96
I like your poem at the end! I'm sorry you're going through such a hard time. I'm trying to get over my soon to be ex. We can't be together. Forbidden love 'cuz of his parents. It's so sad. That's good that you're not contacting her. Try to do something else, focus on something else. Maybe meeting new friends or hanging out more would get your mind off of her. I dunno. I'm sorry I'm of no help, but I know how you feel. Hang in there.
uriel
I'm sorry too. Just give it time. Slowly the sharp pang goes away, the dreams change, and you take on other people, interests, experiences that don't include her. Time. -- uriel
Blah Toolz
It was extremely difficult for me at first... after getting over my ex of a little over 2 years... but I found that hanging out with my friends more, and having the confidence to meet new women and getting as many numbers as you can definitely helps more than anything else. Also, you start realizing that you can survive without her -- and that you are cool just chilling by yourself and doing what you want to do. I still think about her once in a while, but now I can reflect upon the time that we had together and realize that the times were good... but it was a stage in my life, and now I am entering another stage.
