I've recently ended up with 3 spots on my neck that just wont go away

Recommended Posts

I've never experienced this before, so I'm curious about what causes them, and if they will ever go away. I've tried doing a search on Google, but I've not really been able to find any clear answers.

Does anyone know anything about them?

They've been there for around 3 weeks, they look awful, and I would love to get rid of them.

HICKEYS!

No?

Can you go into more detail, Ross?

I have my Encyclopedia of Dermatology open in front of me.

Okay, I admit it, I was at Dreamergirls house the other night. :D

Cool, do you own it, or is it something you found at work?

Okay, about 3 weeks ago, I noticed a big red spot on my neck, like it had just suddenly sprung up over night, I started to pick at it as it was unsightly, and I managed to remove some of it, but there is now still a red patch there.

A few days ago, I noticed two more on my neck, one tiny one and one average sized one. I've left these alone.

The average sized one has now gone a really dark red and is kinda crusted over.

All 3 spots are spaced quite far apart.

How these spots differ from normal ones, is the fact that they aren't going away, and they don't go yellow on top like normal ones. They also feel quite hard too.

Spider bites ?? those have a hard ball like feel and take forever to go away

Who knows Ross....

If you are worried about a skin condition the thing you should do is go to the DR...It could be something simple that a creme will take care of and there isno way you can get the proper creme without a script.

I'm actually seeing the doc tomorrow about something else, so I'll ask him about the spots too.

Definitely see your doctor. Not saying that it is serious and it's probably due to your being allergic to something. I remember one time I got these spots on my neck and they were getting crusty as well. When I saw my dermatologist, after 5 visits, we figured out I was allergic to Mountain Dew soda. I stopped drinking it and my neck cleared up in a week.

Spider bites or allergic reaction were my two guesses.

My third is a reaction to not enough broccoli in your diet.

Eat your veg, Ross.

Ross,

There's precious little in life I love more than doling out unfounded medical advice.

Given that, please.

A moment of your time?

Okay.

The spots likely aren't related to a broccoli deficiency.

I'll give you that.

But at least consider it's Ebola.

No?

You're right.

100% of the symptoms are absent.

Well, what did the doctor say about it today?

Oops, sorry I hadn't got back to you sooner, I didn't end up checking this topic again until now.

Ah, what the heck, I've already told you but I'll tell you again anyway. :p

Doc said, they'll go away, but you'll be left with little marks.

I guess I should have asked him do you know what's caused them, but he seemed like he was in a hurry to see the next patient.
