mazda Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 Thanks for having a read....any suggestions welcome Me and my ex broke up 2 years ago.It wasnt a very nice split but about 4 months after breaking we had a week back together but she didnt want it to go any further. Ive seen her on the odd occasion over the last 2 years as we work for the same firm. We say the polite hellos and hows the family etc. last week i had to spend the week with her due to work commitments. At first it was a bit awkward but it soon eased and we got on like a house on fire, just like we used to. A few freinds commented on how she was hanging around me and was looking at me whenever she could, lingering smiles if we made eye contact etc. I was the same. I know shes in a relationship with someone as do my friends, but one of them decided to try and get me and her to go out for a drink. I told that friend that my ex is now with someone so theres no point. My ex heard all of this. Despite this we still had the lingering smiles, long eye contact etc. I didnt want the ex to think i put the friend up to it, so i text her as i was on my way home...the conversation went like this Me: Im so sorry about "friends name". She asked yesterday if we use to go out with each other. I told her yes but it didnt work out and shes now with someone else. She thinks she can get us back together. I had no part to play in what was said. Her: Its fine, i know you didnt say anything. Its a lovely idea though and really hope that we can be friends as its pretty obvious we get along well still Me: Your right on both "old pet name". We do get along real well and it is a lovely idea Her: Thank you" old pet name". Its come as a bit of a shock really talking to you so much after all this time. Its nice though x Me: Maybe one day we can be friends Her: I hope so! From my side, i still love her and would get back with her if i could depsite all thats gone on. Im struggling to be just friends as my feelings are still way too strong for her......am i letting old feelings overshaddow reality or is there hidden feelings from the ex?
