The edge Posted December 4, 2011 Share Posted December 4, 2011 Very long story short: My ex dumped me crually many years ago after promising me marriage. in the post break up period, he claimed seeing sb on Facebook, before he cut all ties with me. The ex apologised some months later,but kept on playin and stringin me along. We were on an on-off basis. Till two years ago, he told me to move on all outta the blue, after a good chat on the night before. He simply said that he had nothing else to add !!!! I told him it was no way to dump sb!! that i'd never get in touch with him ever again! I found out some months ago that he was in another country. I've been holding a grudge and I was sick of it: I wanted justice so bad. When I realised he was in another country, I cried hard. I dunno what's gotten over me, then I calmed down. I told myself that I would simply keep on moving on and put my full trust in God. Due to the events that are happening in the Middle East, I hesitated in contacting him: I wanted to know whether his family was safe or not. It took me a long time to make up my mind, coz every single time i wanted to email him, i remembered how he comtemptously told me to move on! like I was trash or sth!!! Well, I mulled it over for weeks, then one day I emailed a member of his family. It took this person a while to reply! i identified myself and my purpose of contacting them! a week later and no reply! i contacted them again, and they didn't give me much news tbh. I was thanked for being concerned, and was told that the ex was 'obviously' fine coz he was living there!!!! Well, i thanked them and mentioned that id been waiting for them to reply! secondo, it was a normal thing to wonder bout people at dire times!! last of all, and seeing that not much has been given, i hoped that the family was fine back home!!! But this 'obviously' word got me thinking: can someone get any ruder than this!! can my ex get any weirder than this!! May b they have realised that I knew bout his whereabouts which could explain the use of such a term , but was it necessary to use it with me, considering that I am a complete stranger to this person and vice versa!!! I dunno! My friend said I was noble; I was dumped, lied to and strung along for years, then told to move the heck on in a very comptemtous way! Still, I could find it in my heart to wonder bout the safety of the family of my ex! I don't know what he could've said to them bout me! but, this 'obviously' got me thinking, then shaking my head and smilin Typical Ex-attitude Link to post Share on other sites
