Me and Coping

So my ex and I have been over for 7 or 8 months now. The ending wasn't pretty otherwise I'd remember the date specifically. I'm not entirely over but mostly I am.

Right now, she is impateint with me. We have had two arguments, recently due to her impatience. For example, today, I needed to ask her a small question. but before I say what it is let me add some context.

I'm 21 and she is 20. We are over, I accept it. We are friends but we struggle to see eye-to-eye but we get on okay. She is friends with a 29 year old and its likely they will be in a relationship soon because she drools over him. I told her my concerns because I was worried after I saw an article on age-gap relationships and I was worried she'd be used and/or he'd have a wife! Anyway they both go to the Gym together (notice how i didnt say seperately)

Well she called me today, wantiing to meet me for lunch and I said no I had some tests to do and I was at home doing them so I couldnt (she works at the college i study at) Anyways I wanted to ask her if she would find it awkward if I started to go there as I need to go to a gym because of you and your love interest. Well before I even start asking her she becomes VERY impatient wth me and asking me to hurry up alot. This makes it hard for me be natural when im around her and in this case over the phone to her. I get agitated and when she hurrys me I dont want to ask her this question anymore.

She used to be special to me but now she isn't AS much, and since she has become impatient I'm becoming less interested in her.

The big problem is we vowed we'd stay friends so... how do I fix that?

Kind of missed the point here. I do love her, I'm just not IN LOVE with her. I care for her but this pains me. I dont want her to be hurt but I cant control her and won't.

Her impatience with me takes its tol and i dont know what to do

In my opinion, the end of the relationship is too fresh for you two to be friends right now. If it wasn't a problem, you wouldn't have posted here. I believe you're in a state of denial. You still have strong feelings for her. Therefore, youu really can't take a step back and be "just friends".

I suggest that you don't contact her for awhile. At least until those feeling for her has faded.
