Just a thought for the heartbroken

I first found this forum at the start of 2011 after being heartbroken about a guy I had been on/off with for 8 years...

I am now over him, and since met someone else and even though it didn't work out, I'm happy.

I just want to say this: If you are crying and moping about over an ex and they are not doing that over over you, move the HELL ON.

Life is short and precious and no-one is worth your tears if they don't feel the same.

Stop putting off the inevitable (life without them) and move on :p

It won't happen in a day, but change your mindset... your life and future loves go on ;)

It's a message you hear a lot. When you're in the anger stage of a breakup, you sometimes think "stop telling me this, I want to feel better now, I want it how it was".

But it's the best message you can be told. Life really is so, so short.

Thanks for posting it. And for what it's worth, congratulations on your progress.

There's a song by a British band called The King Blues called "If I Had A Coin". It resonates with me because of these lyrics:

Sometimes in life,

We all gotta rise up,

When we hear that siren calling out,

So find your calling,

Find whatever makes you happy,

And do it twice,

That's my advice.

It's really is a lot easier said than done, and I definitely agree with what the first person said about being in the anger phase and not wanting to hear it, but it's so so true. Earlier today I in retrospect and I tiny breakdown. While it was going on I felt like it was a really big deal, but it wasn't as big a deal as I thought. I am still living and I feel good. Sometimes you gotta get a little cry out and I guess that's a good thing. I finally understand what they mean by "get it all out". Once you do, you may be a tiny bit sad afterward, but before you know it your feeling better again. To this second I love my Mags to death, but if she doesn't want to be with me after all I have tried to do for her...then **** her. Life really is too short, I just found out in the last week that 3 people I am aquatinted with died. I didn't know they to well, but it still makes you think. Get out and live because while your being all pissy, they are out living. It sucks that they won't call, and blah blah but it's funny how the tables tend to turn. Want your ex back, then make yourself better than you were when you were with them. Don't talk to talk to them until you feel you are a better person. By that time I promise you most likely won't even want them anymore. Mag has done this to me 2 other times and each time I got over it. I tend to forget about that, but in time you will feel better. This time when I feel better, I will make sure that I don't just go running back. She wants some of this then btich your going to have to work for it this time around. I'm all for the game, let's make it happen.

Yeah I went through the same thing. I moped around in bed and cried my eyes out for almost a good month. Then one day I woke up and was like **** this ****...I'm pissed off about always being sad over this stupid girl...I'm going to move on with my life and be happy

Listen, I'm not saying it's easy, but push through the pain. If someone doesn't want to be with you, dry your bloody eyes and cop on. Life DOES GO ON.
