Embarrassing Question

Recommended Posts

This is going to sound weird, and let me preface this by stating that it does NOT include sexual contact of any kind.

The other night I was in bed sleeping and was woken up to a sharp/pushing type of sensation of my "hole" (:lmao: I can't think of another "clean" term to use so I will just refer to it as that). So, it felt like I had to go to the bathroom, except nothing came out and I didn't feel any type of material in that region that needed releasing. At one point, it felt really uncomfortable and painful, like it was throbbing but it eventually subsided.

I know it sounds bizarre but has anyone ever had a weird pain in their anus region for no particular reason?

Get checked by your Dr. Maybe it was a muscle spasm, or possibly you have a bladder infection or kidney stones.. Did it just happen that one time? Keep track of this, write down the symptoms and definitely make a Dr's appointment!

A muscle spasm, that is actually a good point and something I hadn't thought of. That could have very well been what it was! But, it's kind of weird that it happened thereee... :o

It has only happened once, thankfully. :lmao:

If it becomes recurring, I will def go see a doctor.

Yeah I wouldn't panic, maybe your....hole....is getting a mind of its own, or likely the muscle spasms.

If your hole keeps waking you up in the middle of the night then I'd go see a a-hole doctor.

 Ninjain.

Thankfully the "hole" only woke me up just that once. I think it could have very well been a spasm. If it happens again, I'll put some ice on it or something. :lmao:

If it's a spasm, heat might be a better choice since cold tends to constrict muscles, whereas heat relaxes them. As others have said, if it continues to recur, getting checked out is a good idea. Good luck!

Can be caused by any number of things: a muscle spasm in the sphincter muscles, irritation of a tear caused by previously passing a hard stool, irritated hemorrhoid tissue, butt-raped by a ghost.

This doesn't sound serious, but if it is a chronic problem you should talk about it with your doctor as it could be something very easily observed and resolved.

Hiya :). Sorry I didn't update this sooner. I am happy to report that I have not had said pain in that region since that one time. I do on occasion have tummy issues so maybe it was a build up of that caused the spasm, who knows. My aunt was just in the hospital from Diverticulitis, one uncle has IBS and my cousin has Colitis, so seems to run in the family.

My medicine cabinet is stocked with Rolaids and Mylanta just in case.

Ah, this is great news, Bunny.

I will be thinking good thoughts for it into the new year.

Hope your aunt feels better soon!

Just FYI, I used to get those anal spasms all the time. It would literally freeze me with pain. I didnt know what triggered it or why. Turns out once I stopped eating fast food and junk food, it stopped. i actually dont remember when the last time was I had a spasm, I started working out and eating right a year and a half ago. So Im submitting it could be as simple as something youre eating that your system doesnt like.

Hey, thanks for chiming in. :) It's weird. Sometimes certain foods bother me, other times it doesn't. Like the other day I had a lot of garlic, and it didn't bother me in the least. Other times, it gives me terrible indigestion. Sometimes nuts do it too. I can't recall what I ate that day that caused the spasm, but I'll be more cognizant of it if it happens again.
