Took a long break from this site and decided to come back after some issues health wise. I am only 23 and have had many injuries as well as back surgery when i was 17.

2 months ago i hurt my knee bad...pain for about 3 weeks...that has gone...now the past 3 days i have been having kidney, groin, lower back pain on my right side and sometimes it's pretty bad. Went to doctors tonight. Getting a CT scan tomorrow for kidney stones. Although i don't think i have them (from online ect)..we will see. Was also given pain meds for the pain if i do have to pass a stone.

I am 23 and honestly...(i know this is going to sound bad) i feel as if i will die a young age. Now i really pray to god it doesn't happen but i don't have the best health. Always injured ect. I have the back of a 60 year old man is what my neurologist has said. 2 Hernia surgeries..many broken bones ect

It's so hard to stay positive when you are in some type of pain 8 out of the 12 months of the year...it sucks so much. It keeps me indoors. Constantly hurting and not thinking about living my life

For those of you with issues heath wise..how do you stay positive..i mean i am 23 and in and out of the doctors every 3 months it seems...i can't even image what it's going to be like when i am 50...

Are these injuries sports related?

This may not be that helpful but I'm guessing you played some sort of contact sports. You are much better off than somebody who's had lots of concussions.

Is kidney stones diet related or other causes? If it's caused by diet that's an easy fix.

Talk to your Dr about pain management and physio-therapy. As well as some CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) which could really help with your frame of mind. I feel for what you're going through.. Not a nice hand of cards you've been dealt..

Pain meds at home aren't going to work, at least in my experience. My husband has had stones and we ended up in the ER twice due to the pain he was in. Went from a dull ache to pain which made him physically ill and nearly pass out within 2 minutes. Just make sure you have a friend or family near by to help you if need be. if the pain travels to your front and is intense, painful as heck, call 911 or get someone to take you to the (ER) hospital.

See..my pain is never really THAT bad. from 1-10 the worst it got was about a 7 and that was in my groin and even lower. This has been going on for 5 days now. This dull aching pain in my side..groin ect 24/7. Some times it gets worse..but then dies back down. They did tests and there was no blood in my urine which like 75% of people have with kidney stones.

If the CT scan comes back tomorrow saying no kidney stones..then i have to go back to the doctor and find out what the pain is...if tomorrows test shows nothing...it is going to be at least another week until i can find what this is...so god dam frustrating...i have a feeling they will say "you are perfectly fine..noting we can do"
