Anxiety and Mood Swings from Birth Control?

Has anyone else taken LoEstrin 24 Fe birth control?

 

I am thinking it may be causing some irritability and mood swings, a little anxiety on my part. I just made the connection, but I have been so weepy and emotional lately...for the past few months. But, I didn't even make the association until a friend of mine asked about it. I was looking at some blogs about it, and there are definitely some connections.

 

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried a lo-dose bc pill that has caused similar side effects, or any bc in particular with such effects. I have been on everything known to man, and I am thinking of just going back off of it. I've been on this since April, but I am not sure if this is my bc or if I'm just anxious for other reasons.

 

I am just wondering. I'll see a doc at some point in the near future.

Every pill affects every woman differently, so any BC pill could cause the side effects you've mentioned. It's a trial-and-error process, finding the pill that works for you. I would suggest trying a different one until you find one that doesn't cause any side effects.
