Eternal Sunshine
Or is this a bit creepy? I generally need less sleep than my bf and fall asleep later. I enjoy watching him sleep. Well, reading a book in bed and glancing every now and then at him. He looks so peaceful and cute, like a little boy. I like his long eyelashes and flawless skin. Sometimes, I can't help myself and would kiss him lightly on the cheek. He automatically smiles even though he doesn't wake up
colliejoanie
Awwww. Yes, i've glanced at a partner and thought the same thing....especially if I'm in love. And I've woken up to someone I loved doing the same thing. And loved it! Now, toward the end of my marriage, I'd look at my husband and think....."Of COURSE that b.stard is sleeping!!!!!". HAHAHA!!! Pizzaman81
I wish I could.. but I usually fall asleep first.

oaks
I love it, although sometimes I also end up thinking "how can I wake her up for some cuddle-time without getting in too much trouble for waking her up".
tigressA
I do this a lot, he does look really sweet when he's asleep. I think he watches me sleep, but I tend to make weird noises and crinkle my face, so I doubt I look or sound that great.
ditzchic
Oh God. I've never watched anyone sleep. The first night my last ex and I spent together he made a comment the next morning about how I didn't sleep facing him so he couldn't see my face. I was thoroughly creeped out. Now from reading these comments I'm realizing he was probably already head over heels for me at that point. I can be so dumb sometimes... lol.
Philosoraptor
I enjoy it. It allows you to just see the person uninterrupted and think about how you feel about them.
HeavenOrHell
I don't see how it could be creepy to look at the face of the person you love while they're asleep, people watch their kids too, I imagine. I prefer looking in each other's eyes in the semi darkness as we fall asleep
ptp
If you are watching them sleep for more than a minute it is creepy.
JohnP82
I wouldn't say watch, but I would look over when she would sleep over.

I can't watch my husband sleep cause he wakes up if I turn on the light. However, I love his breathing (he doesn't snore but his breathing changes when he is asleep) and it's so cute how he will automatically pat me sometimes to make sure I'm there lol. cerridwen
If you are watching them sleep for more than a minute it is creepy. What's creepy about standing next to the bed, staring down at them for hours?
ZimboGon
Well, i'm single now, but with my last ex i didn't really watch her, per say. She always slept either on my chest or in my arms, and she fell asleep fast. I have pretty bad insomnia, so it takes me awhile to fall asleep (i fall asleep faster when she was there). I always loved holding her when she was asleep, i could always tell because her breathing steadied and everything. It was nice, i felt like the protective figure with her resting between my arms. Nexus One
If you are watching them sleep for more than a minute it is creepy. Word. I should totally say something to the dark silhouette standing motionless all night at the foot end of my bed watching me incessantly. Sometimes it's more of them and they're small, something like 5 feet and they have large black almond shaped eyes. I particularly don't like it when they take me somewhere else, where they put needles in my eyes and perform surgery on me. I should totally punch one in the face. F*cking @ssholes. Cool post My husband and I usually fall asleep with me on his chest or in his arms until I move. Then, if I wake up during the night by the cold (cause he always has the air conditioning blasting), I snuggle with him and get toasty warm again!
Citizen Erased
I do this sometimes, he's way too cute and handsome not to. However, usually I wake him up, can't resist it. BTW, gorgeous pic of you both ES, you look really happy!
Stung
I have. Sometimes it's just nice to see him looking so relaxed and peaceful, although to be honest this is not something I make a regular practice of--in part I think just because we have been together several years now, in part because he snores like a mammoth most of the time he's asleep, so he doesn't sound relaxed and peaceful. I still wake up to him watching me sleep, though. He thinks it's cute the way I end up burrowed in the blankets and calls me a "sleep burrito". We both love watching our son sleep, and used to watch SD sleep when she was little, too. You kind of stop watching them sleep at a certain age, I guess it starts to seem invasive of their privacy...when they're little, there's no such thing as privacy, really. johan
I once did a time lapse of myself sleeping for a night. I hardly moved. I didn't find it especially endearing. But the camera was positioned on the other side of the room, so that might be why.
