I have 2 female cousins, Rosie (not her real name) on my mom's side and Jane (not her real name) on my dad's side.

Jane is a year younger than me (43) and looks like she's pushing 60... she's already got a few wrinkles. She never smoked or drank, and has 2 daughters, but her personality gives me the impression that she can't function unless she has things in her life to stress her out. It doesn't help that Jane's 12-yo daughter is already smarter than her. My mother (who died at age 63) was like that too, and so is a woman at my day job---and she's young but is also starting to look old, though she drinks and has no kids.

Rosie OTOH is 3 years older than me (47) and looks better than a lot of 20 year olds!!! She has never drank or smoked, never had kids, and doesn't have one wrinkle. And she has spare time for hobbies, like gardening and fixing up her house. She called me Thursday night to invite me to Christmas with her and her bf at her brother's place, and told me that's the key... if something starts stressing her out, she kicks it out of her life.

TTBOMK Rosie and Jane have never met each other, but they probably wouldn't get along if they did meet... easy-going Rosie and stress-muffin Jane are like night and day. Guess which one I'd date if they weren't related to me. ;)

Stress sucks the life out of you. My motto is "only be mature when you have to". I am very logical and can make all of the right decisions... but unless the situation calls for maturity I don't give it. It's too much fun acting like a 12 year old :)

On the thoughts of aging. I get mistaken for a very young teenager at times still. I just turned 25 a few weeks ago. I'm hoping that continues.

Yes, children are very stress inducing which is one of the many reasons I don't have them. Mothers always look older than childfree women of the same age. Stress can kill.

Dramatic Weight Loss understands the frustrations of being overweight. Most patients quit weight loss programs because they are always fighting hunger and craving & it is the cause of stress.
