zengirl
He got me the thing I like most: travel. Well, travel and wine. We were already going to Napa/Sonoma/San Fran/Hawaii this year (paid for/semi-honeymoon esque), and he booked us an additional trip at the end of the year to French wine country. I guess all the vacay makes us sound richer than we are; we do great, granted, but aren't rich --- just lucky enough to both work in positions where we get a lot of vacation/make our own schedules and, after savings, spend most of our extra money on travel. Much better than stuff we can't take with us! Best gift ever, even if we aren't going till the end of summer! He got me several little things as well.
sunshinegirl
My hubs is a great gift-giver in general. My birthday was a couple of weeks ago and he got me an iPhone (as well as sent a huge bouquet of flowers to me @ work). Then, for Christmas he got me a nice pair of driving gloves (I've been complaining how cold the steering wheel is) and a gift certificate to an adult store...(we've been talking about getting some toys for a long time now...). He also filled a stocking for me with little hoozits and whatsits. This year I splurged and got him an iPad.
scaredandalone1223
I already had my big present, a new Bionic. For Christmas he got me some bath products and gift card and a coffee mug. I wanted a new mug but had made the stipulation I only wanted one made in America. The local art gallery had handmade ones. I love pottery in general so it was PERFECT. So little but meant sooooo much. Since his bday, our Anniversary and Christmas are all within 3 days I got him some clothes, 2 books on Latin, a LiveScribe pen and a framed photo of his dad. His dad passed away when he was 4 and it's the only framed picture he has.
Sparty97
For her: Convection toaster oven, sweater, a converter so she can use her iPod in her car, plus a variety of stocking stuffers... Me: a gift certificate to the home brew store. Fair trade all around.
sweetjasmine
I got my fiance a few things that he wanted/needed, including a pair of very nice, high quality headphones to replace his old, shabby pair. He was also expecting me to get an obvious set of DVDs, but I surprised him with another set that he kept forgetting to look for. I also got him some of that awesome fancy coffee he likes and a double wall ceramic cup with a lid so he'll stop taking coffee mugs into the car (since the plastic and metal travel mugs ruin the taste of the coffee). He went totally overboard even though we had originally agreed to not get too carried away this year. He got me an antique Bavarian demitasse set, an antique Victorian jewelry box, a vintage brooch, and some very thoughtful little things. He's crazy good at thinking of thoughtful gifts, and I was totally floored. I've been making some of his favorite food lately as another thank you since his gifts for me were more awesome than mine for him. Yeah, we went down to the courthouse. We weren't going to do a big thing anyway, and we were moving in together (officially, though I was basically living there anyway) January 1st so we just got the paperwork out of the way. We will have a reception in the spring. Aww, congratulations, zengirl!
Eve
We decided to get simple pressies, so it was a mixture of perfume/cologne/nice nightwear. We are not that bothered about Christmas presents. We have decided to focus on birthdays instead. Next year I am getting Hubby the complete 'Star Trek' collection and I am searching for a 'Star Trek' replica shirt. How cool is that? I would like some sheep and a pony or two. Take care, Eve x
serial muse
We sort of told each other what we wanted this year (gear for our upcoming honeymoon) and so we each got what we wanted. I got an awesome new frame backpack; he got an awesome new pair of hiking boots.
