What would be a good place to take someone on a first date and what are some Do's and Don'ts for first dates? Thx. PS: is it normal for a girl to write "I love you" letters to the one they like? In the future, or perhaps even now, you may want to consider going out on a few dates over a period of time with this and other girls, before you go out only with that person. Getting to know someone beforehand really does help, I have found. As for a date, coffee or tea is always good. Seeing as this is your first date, it would provide a very good atmosphere for the both of you to get to know one another even better, and it will not cost either of you very much money. I do not recommend a movie for your first date, as you have no time to really talk to the person, and if you are not yet aware of what the other finds acceptable you might become very anxious sitting next to her in a dark room. Love letters... Letters are always good, and perfectly normal. Her saying "I love you", however, is just her (and you) being young. If she demands attention quite a bit then this could be an early sign. I suppose it would depend on how long you have known her, and how well you two already know one another. If you were never really acquainted, and you just launched into this relationship, it is most likely her being infatuated and not knowing what "love" really is at this stage in her life.
