She cheated on me and I took her back....is that bad or good I'm confused

Well I have a serious issue at hand. Me and my girlfriend have been going out for 10 months and we've had our moments where we would fight over little stuff but we would always make up. 5 days ago on my way home she told me that she had been unfaithful to me. So I promised I wouldn't yet at her and she told me what happened. She had a threesome with her friend (girl) and her friend's boyfriend 4 weeks ago. I was shocked but still hoping that she didn't go all the way with it. She said she didn't touch her friend but had sex with her friends boyfriend the whole time. 3 days later we had a serious talk. I told her "Since I love you so much I'm willing to work this out if we don't speak for a week giving me time to think things threw" but she said no she can't guarantee that I wouldn't try to get even. I told her there is no way I can get even, sleeping with another women is unjustified and not worth it. She still refused to take the punishment and started to say she might be talking to other men during that time period. That was the last straw and I said I have no more options. I don't know what happened to her after that. She kept telling me that I was stupid to be staying with her and she would have left me if I did such a thing. She finally snapped telling me that I have one minute to choose another punishment or leave. After the minute was up I broke up with her and we quickly said our good nights and hung up but to be friends still. 5 minutes later her cousin calls and asks me why did I break up with her. I told her the story and over the phone I heard my ex girlfriend crying so I said I'll call back in 10mins. After that was up we made up but my pride hurts to run back to her and the fact that I got hurt and she gets no punishment out of it. I just can't believe that should would sacrifice us for something like that even if her friend begged and pleaded. I just want to know if I had made a bad choice and is there a way to fix the pride that I lost.

Oh yeah were young she is 17 I'am 16. I was thinking the same thing like if she did it once she can do it again.

This girl sounds like major trouble. I would not have taken her back, personally. I do not think it is wise for you to stay in this relationship.

Your crazy. Whats the deal with punishment.... Why dont you cut her hand off. I heard they do that in some arab countries.
