For me, it was your mouth that jumped out at me...it looks the same in every picture, and I think you could do better with your facial expressions...do you have alright teeth? If so, you can occasionally show some teeth with your smile.

I have a HORRIBLE habit of speaking in an accent to people who have one, and it's kinda crazy how well I can pull (almost all of) them off. I especially good at a British accent. I can even change between RP and Cockney. It's kinda crazy, and I'm sure annoying. I almost can't help it.

I know that men and women love my English accent. I used to be really shy, and hated sticking out like a sore thumb, so the accent didn't help, but it has generated a lot of compliments, and flirting. Ladies in stores will be sweet, and say they just love to hear me talk, and when I was in a store with my mother and our Scottish friend? the woman behind the counter said we'd made her day.

I didn't ask for people to judge how I looked in that other topic. I know I I'm asking people to judge in this topic though, I'm not even sure why I made it, I was drunk at the time, I guess I was just hoping or wondering if there was anyone that thought I looked okay.

With all due respect, Ross, I think you're overreacting. Yes, there were some posters who trolled you with all the rudeness they could muster in that thread, but they do that all the time. Most of us just ignore them.

 

On the other hand, what a few of us were trying to do was to offer you constructive suggestions. Saying, 'hey, you ever considered that you might look better with longer hair?' is NOT the same as saying that you ' look like some weak bland dweeb, with terrible clothes and hair'. It's just a common suggestion that people give to any poster who has their pic up and is perpetually saying that they can't get a girl/guy. That does not mean that they don't look good, just that in those poster's eyes, you can look better if you do this or that.

I'm pretty sure some people were saying that my hair looked bad. Then there were others who were saying that I looked weak and bland.

 

I just know if they knew what kind of clothes I wear they would've critisised those too.

 

I know a lot of the people wer just trying to be helpful and didn't mean anything bad by it, but still, if I've never asked for people's advice on how I look, and then I've suddenly got a bunch of people critisising how I look, then of course it's going to make me feel down, it would make anyone feel down.

 

But I agree that there were times when I probably did over react, but that was because I was really drunk.
