Is it too late if you're already in 30s but just beginning to even make friends

Recommended Posts

I'm just beginning kinda of my social life. Last year i found a friend, became good friend but foreign so she's not here anymore. But i'm also going to some support group...This is my first time i have done social stuff.

But i'm getting older and i may soon be 40, then 50, etc..

It doesn't seem like there's enough time to find a partner and marry or at least have long term love.. It doesn't seem possible especiallly since i've yet to have a GF. i dont even know how.

Is it too late?

Even if you were a hundred years old and terminaly ill it wouldn't be to late to do anything if you had the drive. Remember friendship isn't about sitting with a person and looking into eachothers eyes and chanting "friend!" It's about the journey. So enjoy getting to know people and spend time with them.

Bullcrap! The day that it's too late is the day they start shoveling dirt on your grave.

My grandmother met her 2nd husband in the nursing home at the age of 72 and lived happily ever after untill she died of a heart attack a few years later. Hopefully the heart attack occured during some wild lov'n in the sack/

Considering people in their 70's, 80's, even 90's meet someone and get married, the obvious answer is, if you're still breathing, it's not too late.

And there was just a story in the paper today about a guy who married his girlfriend at her funeral, so ... even the breathing thing is not a 100% requirement! ;)

One of the side benefits(?) of divorce and modern times is that there are a LOT of lonely people without a lot of outlets to either meet people or form relationships outside work (which everyone seems to either not have or be doing to much of).

It IS tough to get out and meet people but as others have said it's never too late and if you're a guy it's probably easier to meet very awesome women as you get older these days than it has been in the past.

Good luck and let us know.

Its only too late when you spend all your time theorizing over it in posts rather than going out into the real world and DOING it.
