My Ex and I broke up 5 months ago, tried the whole friend thing but he had pushed my limits with the "just a friend" girl he dumped me for. (Typical gigs situation, right age, dated 3years, wanted to be single but treated her like a girlfriend straight after we BU, says there was nothing wrong with our relationship, this was just new) Anyway I stopped being so accommodating and told him off a while ago, he had moved and taken her with him for a while. Where she met all his friends and made herself quite at home. Anyway that was the long story short. I am 19 days in and am also aiming for the 6 month mark. It seems like it is 6 months after BU and 6 month NC that are two good dates to aim for. After that you hit 9 or 12, but hopefully not . He ran from the situation so I don't expect a break on his side. This is just for me to heal and get over it. How is everyone doing? Link to post Share on other sites

brazilian Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Hello everyone Im in strict NC for six months now and every 25 days or so he breaks it. I never reply. And I wish I had started earlier, I did well, started about one month after BU but I regret the few times we were in contact during that month. Be NC and keep your dignity. Although it is likely that you are still going to think about him for a long time, it wont be long until you can just shake it off and carry on with your day. Link to post Share on other sites
