LZ2000
After 2 months after my breakup with my girlfriend, I had the rare urge to look for some answers in the internet in regards to my previous relationship. And I came across this article. Somehow, I totally feel that this article really hits a bulleye with some of the things I felt in my previous relationship (as disappointing as it may be). http://edition.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/10/25/o.glass.ego/index.html What are your thoughts on this ? FitChick
I liked this bit: "But if two men were living together, one would simply say to the other, "Do you think you could put away your smelly pajamas before my girlfriend gets here?" The other agrees -- but still leaves his PJs out. So his roommate finally says with a grin, "The next time you leave your pajamas out, I'm gonna burn 'em in the backyard." He does. When the other guy looks for his PJs, he finds a smoldering pile of cloth." That reminded me of a friend who lived with a slob of a man. He always dropped things on the floor as he walked in the door. She got tired of picking them up or asking him to put them away. One day she just threw everything out. When he protested she said, "Oh, I thought you didn't want that any more." End of problem!
Woggle
Who are these men who leave clothes on the floor? I never did and neither did any of the men I lived with. I always cleaned up after myself and so far my wife has no issues with how I keep our house. My wife once lived with a hoarder though so I guess that is why she never complains about my housekeeping skills. The stuff she tells me about her former roommate makes me want to take a shower just thinking about it.
betterdeal
I liked this article. It resonated with me quite a lot. I also saw it as quite a positive article that showed how men and women can better interact with each other, without inadvertently pressing each other's buttons.
