What to get my long distance friend for valentines day?

Recommended Posts

Its kinda complicated i guess but my issue is i have a girl, friend? that i met online 3 years ago on an online game. after playing a lot we started talking on msn more and more and eventually everyday my problem is her parents do not and she says can not know or they would probably take her computer or something of the sort so i can not send anything, i could not get her number until recently because she was afraid they would see it in the records. anyway i could go on forever about everything that's happened but i have liked her for a while and around Christmas she said she loved me so i told i i loved her and now we use the word often and i have talked about visiting in a year or two and that kind of stuff so i would like to do something for valentines day but cant send her anything we already talk all day and text. so i have pretty much accepted that i wont be able to do anything other than say happy valentines day but i just wonder if anyone ha any ideas. oh and i do not think i could write a poem or anything o-o

How about you Google for a florist near where she lives and order her a rose, and have it delivered somewhere her folks won't be, such as school or work?

I could, but it would be a bit weird if I did, don't you think?

Okay, joking aside, sure you can. Find a florist and phone them up, and ask their advice. They'll let you know if they will / can.

If you can't get it delivered to school, find somewhere else that will hold it for you, like a coffee shop or something, phone them up, explain what you're trying to do and ask them to do a favour - you get the florist to deliver there, they keep it behind the counter, you tell your girl to go there for a surprise and to tell them her name which you've explained to the person you spoke to.

Worth a try, don't you think?

Lots of them use the same templates and shopping cart application. If money is an issue, how about buying a box of chocolates and sending them yourself with a note? Roses get horribly overpriced at this time of year.

Hello!

This is my first post - I've been lurking around for a while, and finally decided to post.

I got my SO (he is a guy) a small basket with beer and savouries, which hopefully will arrive just in time! :)

I'm glad we are now in the modern era, in which you are just 2 clicks away from sending things from the other side of the world to any person you love. May seem a bit impersonal, but for all of us in a LDR, it's usually the best we can do without travelling! :)

All the best for you guys out there, and happy Valentine's day.

ok i know its past the time ...but for future purposes....

you could have went out....bought her a card, candy, a rose or something. took a picture of it all and a picture of yourself. wrote a loving message in it and tell her you will save this all for her when you see each other someday. how did the delivery work out for u? what happened?

That's a nice idea! May write it down for the future!

About the delivery, I think you are not asking that to me, but anyway, in my case it didn't work!! it's been 2 times already that the delivery in the UK fails on me! So no, he didn't get it, and, somehow, I'm glad they didn't even notify and sent the parcel back to the sender... it would have been a lame surprise to get a notification saying "Hey, you've got a parcel come pick it up tomorrow" ...

*sighs*
