bentnotbroken
I thought you weren't interest in the discussion? What are you talking about now? Can you make a statement in English syntax that actually scans or must it be this sort of gibberish? Do you realize that what you wrote is functionally illiterate? Please try again, in English, and I will try to answer. More labels please. Keep 'em coming.
Mme. Chaucer
In my situation I actually bring much more to the table regarding real estate, income, etc. But I have never based a R on how much I might squeeze out of a divorce. yeah, but what kind of a decent woman has an avatar like that?

bentnotbroken
I don't think that but I think that deep down if a person with narcissistic tendencies knew they had to play fair in the event of a divorce maybe they would not take that chance. I also think we need to stop promoting this idea that things need to thrown away if they are not a 24/7 fairytale. Nothing in life is bumpless. Unfortunately, narcissistic will think they can beat the system. Mr. Messy is a narcissistic, to beat him at his own game required I think in ways that I didn't know humans thought. I was niave...never again. One of the things my mother taught me was that life wasn't a fairy tale. She wouldn't read those "happily ever after" stories to us, but I did think that my vows meant till death do us part. I never expected him to cheat. Sometimes the bumps are what make us appreciate the things that are most important.

johan
A person with narcissistic tendencies does not make calculations like that, Woggle. Making things more fair in the event of a breakup is going to do nothing to make divorce less common. It's definitely not going to change women's misandrist tendencies. What are you going to do about that? Besides worry? And what are you worried about anyway? None of this has anything to do with you.
bentnotbroken
No it's not a "label," I was asking you to please try to communicate in comprehensible English. If you choose to be inarticulate, that's your choice. If English is not your native tongue, then please accept my apologies. More please.

bentnotbroken
Not too much misandry being expressed here, is there? Thinly veiled in sarcastic "ironic" "humor," she openly expresses through words and change to a violent image in her avatar of her hatred towards men (as if everything else posted didn't make it clear enough about her attitude). This is an example of a person being so motivated by psychological compulsion that even when she is trying to hide her true self (by choosing the peaceful sheep avatar) she just can't help revealing the true inner demons. In fact she provided a snapshot of her idealized self perception--a literal "man eater" which is precisely how she talks to men on this message board. oh my.

dreamingoftigers
What?!?!?!?! No. Definitely not true when over 70% divorces are initiated by mostly women. Divorce initiation does not correlate with which party committed the adultery. It always blows my mind that some people argue the adultery stay. Men cheat more often. Historically it was MUCH more often and the consequences MUCH more dire. Up to and including death. In fact I live right down from a hill called Nose Hill. It carries that name because women who were found to be cheating would have part of their noses cut off at that place. No such penalty for the men. As the stigma with women working and cheating overall has decreased, the gap has been closing but MEN STILL CHEAT more and are far more apt to lie about their marital status to a prospective AP. Ashley Madison's affair site is 85% male for instance.

johan
Making divorce more fair will most definitely make marriages better and breakups less likely because numerous women go into marriage viewing the husband as a disposable option who they can get paid by the court system for dumping and replacing if something better comes along. The vile and disgusting things said in this thread by women about men, complete misandry, are such an accepted part of the culture that it is like pulling teeth to get even one of their number to call out another violator, and when it finally happens, it passes unnoticed. A lukewarm/false/hypocritical apology by Mme. Chaucer, followed by a continual stream of vile insults, negates any supposed "apology." These are women who truly seem to believe they exist on a higher plain than men do. They can tell Woggle how his marriage should be, why he is being a bad husband, how they think he should be "better than this"--knowing absolutely nothing about him in real life, never having spoken with much less met his wife. These are women who think it's a joke to post a picture of themselves as a disgusting, bloody monster and happily say "I ate a man" or "I ate a husband" as if it's a big joke rather than a very sick expression of hostility towards men. The Lorena Bobbitt syndrome: If the woman cheats, it's the man's fault and he deserves it--if the man cheats, he deserves to get his penis amputated. These folks seem to be engaged in a mass psychosis and all they are doing is self reinforcing it constantly. It's pretty obvious that if anyone rejects the warped world view they are attacked and rejected from the "family." If a man expressed such imagery, even as a joke--"I want to bloodily eat my wife"--they would be up in arms about it. They would think it to be a very sick, mentally ill sort of statement. But when a woman says it--even an admitted misandrist, who was called out for it by another woman, and supposedly apologized--when a woman does it, they encourage and enable it. I don't find any of this to be realistic. I understand you have a lot of frustration with women. But you pretty much completely have them wrong, except in rare pathological cases. Is it the rare, pathological cases you feel the most connection with?
