Ross MwcFan
Turns out everything is fine with my heart, but I do have a slow leaking valve. She said it was nothing to worry about and that it's quite common. I've made an appointment with my doc to discuss things further. After having a look online it seems that if you have a slow leaking valve that the risk of bloodclots and having a stroke are more greater, I'm not sure how much greater, but since my dad ended up having a stroke when he was very old (granted he did smoke though), I'm going to change my diet, start exersising regulary and cut down on the alcohol just to be on the safe side. I seriously don't think anything would happen to me while I'm still young, but it's when I'm very old that I'm worried about.

FitChick
One glass of wine a day is okay and good for your heart so you don't have to deprive yourself. Dark chocolate is also good for the heart but don't eat more than an ounce or so a day. I like to melt it on wholemeal toast with peanut butter or almond butter. Yummy!
