If I am always working on improving myself, when will I ever be happy with who I am? I am never going to be perfect for others, so why can't I find the perfect me for me? I want to be able to not hurt any more. I know that I do not need to be what others want in order to be happy. I know this and yet I rip myself apart when I can't be everything for everyone. In the process I lose so much of me.

You are looking at a reflection of yourself in others and you do not like what you see. That is what is great about having other people in your life. It helps you to understand yourself better. We all have insecurities. Use it as an opportunity to improve yourself, for yourself. Everybody comes into your life for a reason. Let the world teach you.

Happiness is not a destination, but a journey. It isn't one big "happy" we are really looking for, but a series of one small joy after another. If you are keeping your eyes on other peoples reactions you are missing the best part... sit back and enjoy the ride.

If that is the case, then happy is what we look back on, and the experiences we have that lead us to that happy feeling are what make us happy. So I should continue living life, having fun, and only worrying about those who really matter in order to have happiness. I can say this but when it comes down to it I can not act it. As if I feel I am perpetually in need of approval. This is an issue with my self esteem I believe.(I almost said this is a problem with my self esteem right? Needing your approval of my opinion) So I start making an effort to approve of myself rather then needing it from others.

It's hard for people pleasers, because we don't have approval of our own... we feel like we have to earn our own approval and we need someone else's permission to find it. I have yet to overcome the need to approval... I've just learned to seek out that approval in other, healthier ways.

By finding healthy people to share my love with. I know that I am always going to try to please others so I have to be careful who I allow at the top of the list... because they will influence me whether I like it or not.

Do you have any goals? Dreams? Anything that will help keep you focused so you don't get distracted?
