In many ways shallowness in women is encouraged; make-up, fashion, clothes - the media makes a lot of money off of women's desire and need to be youthful, beautiful and unique, which also correlates to male shallowness in that women need to be beautiful on the surface to attract a mate.

 

In this way, I think both genders are pretty shallow.

I don't hang out with shallow looks obsessed types, I hang out with people with personality, I suggest the OP does the same, or maybe he's shallow about looks too and only wants to hang out with the shallow types as he puts looks before anything else too.

 

My friends, female and male, are far from shallow, I CHOOSE who I want to be friends with.

I'm not looking for a date. I'm not bitter either. I genuinely accept biology with a big smile on my face. I'm generally happy.

 

Cannot accept how shallow women are though. They're obsessed with celebritism, status and just everything beauty related, and show a lack of 'empathy' for others. Not that I want empathy but they just lack it, which is a bit ironic really considering they are the motherly figures and the media constantly makes them out to be the more compassionate of the two genders. I think the media does too much brainwashing. Men are the most evil but they are also "generally" the much more compassionate of the two sexes - by far

 

This may be controversial but the female mentality reminds me of the serial killer mentality in that it's all about them. You look into a woman's eyes and there's no emotion. It's just pure empty. Like looking into void.

No I don't find that fascinating. I find that utterly disgusting. What kind of culture do you live in? As bad as they in my area, if you were to say that where I live you'd have every male wanting to kick your face in.

 

And I'm talking about most of the females on here too. 9/10 of them ignore you if you even remotely say something bad about serial killers, especially if he's famous and good looking

 

Yet I hear people say that looks are less important to women quite a lot

So I was helping my father trim trees today and we had worked up quite a sweat loading his truck with all the branches and such, and my neighbor came out to check his mailbox.

 

This particular neighbor is from China and doesn't speak much English but he always has the most sunny dispostion and he takes a great deal of pride in keeping his yard well kept. I often see him in his garage doing wood working projects as well, and I make sure to wave and say hello anytime I walk by his house.

 

So today I gave him a friendly wave and a boisterous "HELLO!" and his face brightened immediately and he responded with a big grin and in his broken English - "Hello! You and father do big clean up today! Your yard look very good!". I told him "Thank you!" and felt good inside and very thankful and grateful to have such friendly man for a neighbor.

 

I am also very fortunate to have the neighbor on the other side of me, a very kind and friendly man in his mid-fifties who lives alone. We have always helped lend a hand to one another over the years in the day to day of living along side one another.

 

He drove by as I was stomping twigs and small branches into a trash can and stopped and joked about how I looked like I was stomping grapes and making wine. We had a good laugh about that, and my son who was nearby helping, thought it was a clever joke as well.

 

That is only a small sampling of the wonderful people who live around me. I am so grateful and thankful to have so many friendly, good natured folks for neighbors.

 

It has also occurred to me that we might not all get along so well, if any of us had a bitter, hateful attitude towards one another, based on gender, race or creed, or any other blanketing, all-inclusive, pre-determined generalization of bias towards one another.

 

Luckily for all of us, we don't, and therefore, we all benefit as friends and neighbors who live together respectfully and in peace with one another.

 

Life is good.

I'm not American, and loser is standard English. Any English-speaking country will use it, per that standard.

 

I said you were a loser since you cannot change how people think, value or reason. It is best for you, IMO, to accept that Western society is a shallow culture and do your best to cope with it.

I'm pointing weird and disturbing things that I've noiced on this internet over the years and I see it a lot, which pisses me off and puts me off, but all I get is abuse or just plain disliked as if the majority are shockingly secretly defending them

 

People's obsession with fame goes far beyond.... Put it this way, I've seen these people in documentaries and these documentaries usually laugh a how insane they are. The TV pokes fun at them. See IRL I usually only hear about these people in documentaries, comedy shows or in the papers.
