setsenia
How many of you are single parents? And how many of you believe you should put your kids before everything and do more than the bare minimum until they are 18? My dad always brings up this and that that he did for me. Well, aren't you supposed to provide for your kids? I really don't see the point of bragging about something you were legally required to do because you chose to have children. My dad always blamed his lack of helping us on my mom for not paying child support. He had a six figure income and barely provided for us. Even when my mom worked, she made all of 20k a year. I'm really paying for it now after sh***y dental work when I was younger. All of the fillings I had to have replaced because there was decay underneath after 3-5 years. Yet, he has a great dentist for himself. When her married his recent ex-wife he provided for her and her daughter more than he ever provided for his own kids. He just liked to make excuses like, he was a single parent etc etc. I know plenty of single parents with deadbeat Ex's who still put their kids first and go above and beyond with helping pay for their college and living expenses to they can have a good future. My dad said we must go to college, but didn't want to help us with the associated costs.
