HGee
It has been reported that a symposium to educate professionals who are involved with combating child abuse, is being attended by individuals from all over the world. The National Children’s Advocacy Center is hosting a series of discussions and seminars that share a common goal of protecting children from the fear of child abuse. The 28th National Symposium on Child Abuse being held in Huntsville, Alabama will feature over 140 workshops and presentations aimed at educating law enforcement, medical providers, therapists, any individual who assists in protecting children from child abuse. It has been reported that anyone who has a part in protecting children, from the initial report of the abuse to the possible prosecution of the alleged abuser, are encouraged to attend. Reportedly, the goal of the event is to present ideas and information that professionals will find useful in their particular field of expertise. According to the Symposium Coordinator, this is the first time that they have had the opportunity for the U. S. Department of Homeland Security to be an active part of their training sessions and it is a testament to the work of the CAC.
