dsw31
So I've been texting my ex tonight after dropping off the last of his belongings. He wanted to break up because he does not want to be in a commited relationship.I said it's either all or nothing-I won't be friends with you.I guess he expected me to convienently hang around whenever he needed a shag or ego stroke.I guess my question is-why would he say he is in so much pain, when he is the one who wanted this break up? budley12
i never understood this either. My ex said the same thing at first... and in my eyes if he was in so much pain and I was as well then why go through with the breakup? it doesnt make sense to me.

A dumper who has a conscience feels bad for having to do the dumping; they don't want to hurt the dumpee's feelings. Simple as that. It's awkward and uncomfortable, too. They aren't hurting all that much, though, if they are moving on and doing their own thing.
