Lonelystar
I'm seriously so fed up with my ex. Today him and his friend prank called me. Why can't he just leave me alone? What is his deal? I just needed to vent somewhere...and was wondering have any of you gone through something similar. I was just going to leave it alone, but he keeps pulling crap like this. ehh
CurlyIam
Don't get angry, they'll just do it more and more often. If he sees he can't get to you he'll stop. I think calling the cops isn't an option, but if they don't stop and become more and more agressive, maybe you should consider it! Just... be happy htat's all he's doing! My flatmate's ex moved from his country to where she lives now only to be stalking her! After the breakup! So... wait a bit, maybe he'll come to his senses!
soccorsilly
THe phone company (at least in the US) has a service where you can hit * something or other and calls from that number will be blocked. It will not solve it if he uses random pay phones, but after enough blocked messages he will get the hint. You can also just change your number
HokeyReligions
You can also report him to the phone company because he is harrassing you. They will monitor the calls (not the conversations, just how many times you receive calls from his number) and give him a warning. This is so childish. Block all calls from his phones. If he wakes you up or disturbs you, tell the police and ask if an officer would go and talk to him. Sometimes cops will actually do something decent like that without written instructions. It might be enough to scare him off.

If he is not, then the phone company can do very little. Unfortunately, today it is quite easy to mess with people using modern technology, and even though the telephone networks have been around for quite some time, it is still fairly easy to abuse the system if you know a lot about it. Reporting it to the phone company is definitely a good start, though. This is so childish. Block all calls from his phones. It might be enough to scare him off. Definitely keep a log of when he phones you. Write down the times he phones you, what he says, and how it makes you feel. Keep a journal of these activities, and if he does not stop after you tell him to again, then you can go to the police with your information. Once they have the dates and times of the calls, they can get the information from the phone company to see if he was the one placing those calls. If you want to avoid going through the system, your phone company will allow you to change your phone number. I was using Verizon at the time.... But I changed my phone number as I believed an ex was having her friends call to harass me. Verizon even did it for free, and the number change only took 7 hours to kick in. If you have never changed your number before, your phone company may allow you to change it for free. Just be SURE to tell the phone company you do NOT want the new number advertised through the old one. Sometimes if someone calls your old number they will get an automated message saying what the new one is. As far as police involvement at this point goes, he can easily obtain a detective who would probably telephone the ex. The detective cannot make the ex talk, but just receiving a phone call might make him think twice about what he is doing. Hopefully that would give him the idea that he should back off, and that she is serious about wanting him to stop.
Author Lonelystar
If he keeps with it i'm going to take some of your advice. Changing my number would be a good thing as well. However, someone how it may leak . He calls my cell and thinks I don't know its him, but the number shows up. I just wish he would be a little bit more mature. He wanted to end the relationship....and I was okay with it. I never bugged him. Bleh! Oh well. I think he is suffering from some sort of insecurity and I have no idea why. I'm glad we broke up. Things like this make you thankful.
