AmericanHoney
My ex was verbally abusive, called me names, etc,etc and today of all days I happened to see them at the movies together holding hands looking happy thankfully they didn't see me. My ex never took me anywhere:( He always used to say things like oh it's too far away the gas is too expensive blah, blah, blah. I just want to cry:( How can he treat someone like a queen but treated me like I was a speck of dirt? I did everything for him and he just tossed me away like I was nothing but a piece of trash on the sidewalk.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just be happy you're through with him because you know you deserve better.
perryb13
Yeah, I understand that you feel sad because you're just used to being with someone, but trust me, you got the better end of the deal here. If he didn't treat you like that, he obviously didn't care the same way you did :/ it sucks, but hey, do you really want to be with someone that doesn't feel the way you do?? Author AmericanHoney
Ya that's what my friends keep telling me and I hope they are right. My ex and I dated for 6 months and he's been dating her roughly 4 months so hopefully that honeymoon phase will be over soon. He started treating me like dirt during the 5 and sixth month and by the sixth month it was pretty much dunzo. The girl isn't even is type which is the funny part I am more nerdy and he liked nerdy and smart girls and this girl is far from smart she is a dingy blonde not that I am dissing blondes but she is all plastic totally not his type but he just likes her for her looks and is arm candy for him like look at what I have a hot girl. I'm telling you, you totally dodged a bullet here haha. It doesn't sound like he even knows what he wants. Take some time and stop worrying about him and start worrying about yourself my ex-girlfriend treated me like total garbage the last few months of our relationship, and while I was pretty devastated when I had to break up with her, EVERYONE I know is assuring me that I absolutely made the right call. Your friends know what's up.
Author AmericanHoney
Thanks for the advice I guess I did dodge bullet by not being with him anymore and also dodging a bullet by him not seeing me so definitely a plus.
CopingGal
I went through the same thing. I was hard to see him treat her MUCH better than me. But screw him, any women that ends up with him is NOT lucky.

And therein lies why he's out in public with her: no point in having a trophy if you don't show it off, is there? Balls to him.
suchatrip
dont worry sweetheart, it stings now but the pain gets weaker. i go through the very same mental anguish every time i run into my ex. i wish i could give you advice on how to not care less when you see him, but im in the same boat. but hopefully you can at least find solace in the fact that youre not the only one who goes through these things
Author AmericanHoney
Good point Coping. It was all about him, he criticized everything, lied constantly, porn lover, got drunk alot so lucky her. I bet because she's so dingy she probably ignores it or puts up with it. Author AmericanHoney
She is a trophy to him anyways.... He didn't have a decent job his new girlfriend works at a nightclub the nightclub her dad owns only child has the nice clothes, shops at saks, etc, lives in a condo on the beach which her father bought and guess who is living there now? He always told me when we were dating he was going to get a apartment but he couldn't get his act together and still lived with dad at 26. Soooo sad......
RetroFan00
According to your description, I wouldn't be surprised if his reason(s) for being involved with her is superficial. However, it sounds to me as if you're anticipating turmoil to occur between them. Doing so isn't going to help you heal. Although the pain may be raw, you have to reach a point where their presence will be oblivious to you even when or if you see him or, the both of them, again in the same facility you're in. Author AmericanHoney
He is definitely involved with her for superficial reasons but... I would like to see karma smack him in the face and turmoil to happen. He treated me awful and I'd like to see karma smack him and see her finally see him for who he really is and he is only after her for superficial reasons by no intentions do I ever want him back in my life I just keep wanting for karma to smack him in the face. I just want him to feel the anguish he put me through but I guess I need to heal and stop focusing on karma and praying for turmoil to happen. I need to go take up taboo kickboxing again to keep worrying about seeing my ex and try and relax.
