Rimer
Got another question. I used to be a confident guy with great sense of humor. Now my ex didn't have much of a sense of humor and was very serious girl. We were together for almost 9 years and i feel like the last 4-5 years I lost my sense of humor along with my confidence. Now 7 months after the break up my sense of humor isn't still back but I got it with my old friends. Can a person really lose there sense of humor living with a person with little sense of humor? Can a person get it back? Is it all down to confidence?
cerridwen
Can a person really lose there sense of humor living with a person with little sense of humor? Sure. Can a person get it back? Yes. Is it all down to confidence? It could be but sometimes it's just the environment one's in. Now that you're away from her, create an atmosphere that fosters humor. Watch a lot of comedies. Watch a lot of stand-up. Watch some Family Guy and read some Sedaris. You'll be back to your old self in no time.

Yeah it really sucked that I had to watch all my comedies that I love alone because she didn't "understand what's funny about them". I guess the fact because I'll still a bit hang onto her I can't get forward with this issue either.

Oftentimes, it's just a nice way to connect, you know? Even better is when your S.O. can make you laugh. Look for that in your next partner. I guess the fact because I'll still a bit hang onto her I can't get forward with this issue either. If you start missing her, just think of Old Stoneface sitting there unappreciative of the comedy gold you exposed her to. Old sour puss.
