Do I look best with my hair shaved really short or grown out a bit more?

Okay, a lot of people on here have told me that really short hair isn't a good look, and some have even said it doesn't suit me. But I'm wondering, will people still really think the same once they see how I look with slightly grown out hair vs really short hair?

So I've put up two pictures, what hair looks best on me?

Really short, 33.jpg picture by RPKGameVids - Photobucket

Grown out a bit, http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/l610/RPKGameVids/VID00370.jpg

Personally I think my hair being shaved really short looks so much better on me. When it's grown out a bit more in the second photo I feel that it just looks unstylish and gives me too much of a 'soft' look.

Why are you so concerned on what you look like?

The most attractive thing you can do is love yourself for who you are and what you do.

I'm just wondering if people still think the same after seeing the pics.

Can you answer the question please?

This could be quite long.

I think when you have hair shorter than say 2.5 inches (which you have), equal length on the side doesn't look right. Looks much better with short back and sides.

I am starting to go bald, once I recede to the point where it's visible on my hairline, I will go number 3 on top and 1 on the sides and back probably. I think you can have it longer on the top than you have in both of those pics easily so long as you're not going bald. Once it's started shave it off and embrace it, in my opinion. (You don't look as if you are going bald but it's relative to the thread I think.)

Both pics look very similar to me anyway. I think 2nd pic needs a trim on the sides though, just me opinion.

It's weird that you say that, becuase usually I have it a lot shorter on the sides and back than on top and my fringe.

Today I just got my hair cut, and for the first time I thought, since a lot of people don't think really short hair is a good look on me, why not try having the sides not as short this time and have the length more similar to how it is on top, and then see how it looks once it's all grown out just a little more? So that's how I got it cut today, not sure what I think really.

I can't tell the difference between the two pics...just go with whatever you're more comfortable with.

They look the same to me -- too short. You have beautiful hair so you should show it off.

Do you have a Toni & Guy salon near you? Scroll through the style finder gallery men's photos and look for the captions below the photos for the Toni & Guy South Kensington. There are four photos from S. Kensington. I think you'd look great in the second photo of those four -- the guy is wearing an earring. Not too extreme like the others which are better suited to a rock band.

Take that photo to your hairdresser. Then let your hair grow out to that style. The longer fringe in that style would really set off your large, blue eyes. I like the color combo of your hair and eyes. Women pay a fortune to get that hair color!

Way too short in both pics. The reason the second pic looks "unstylish" to you is that it's not long enough to really do anything with and too long to leave unstyled.

I challenge you to grow out your hair for a couple months. Seriously. It will be a painstaking process, but I think it will do you some good. I wouldn't even get maintenance cuts...just give a stylist a "blank canvas" to work with...

I think your face is too round for such short hair...

What Hokie said - let your hair grow long enough to do something with it.

And stop obsessing about what you look like! Your posts are getting as old as Leigh obsessing about her sex life...

The "really short" pic isn't "really short" to me at all. There's barely a difference between the two pictures.

I think you need to buzz it SHORT. Like, short-short-short. Like __ short.

Your hair is too straight to do anything with style-wise, IMO.

His hair in the pictures is too short to tell how straight it actually is. And those of us cursed with super straight hair just need a decently textured cut up top...it can work...

I disagree. It's an inch long in the second picture, and pin-straight, typical of a ginger (who are either pin-straight or curly, not in between).

I looked again...and it's close to an inch on top...not quite though...and about a half inch on the sides...but I am not too familiar with ginger hair, so I'll go ahead and trust that it's super straight...

He just needs to start putting crap in his hair...

First one is by far the best, but you still need a bit of a better cut and some product.

I distinctly recall you asked this a couple of times before.

Regardless, my response still remains the same as Hokie's.

In your shoes, I would do what is comfortable for YOU, though. But hey, you asked. :)
