Its stupid that the OP pins her past relationship as a reason for her current preference. So because she had a bad experience with one or a few asian men, she uses this as reasoning for liking white guys a lot? How silly and immature is that. I dont buy it anyways because she know she wouldnt stop dating white guys and end up only dating black or latino men if she had bad experiences with white dudes.

 

So why pull a punch? Why be disingenuous? Simply give the real reason for liking white men without pinning a part of it on another group of men. Groups of people are diverse and I find it super hard to believe someone is that silly to think one person represents an entire group...then again..who am I kidding. Just be honest and say your preference has to do with putting white men on a pedestal above others. Dont scapegoat asian me though.

 

Also, I could never hold my women (women of my race) in lower regard than other females. Doing so would only exhibit self hate in my opinion. Because they are still part of me, and I of them. What do I think of myself if I find women who look like mw to be lower than women different than me. What would I think of my own mother if I felt this way?

 

Personally, for me, at the end of the day Im attracted to and open to all women. Ive had experiences with the entire rainbow. It is what it is.

Sometimes you're just attracted to people who look different than you do. It does not necessarily means that you think people who look like you are "lower" but that different looks/features/genes attracts you.

 

This doesn't seem to be the case with OP though. She seems like she likes white men due to status than anything else though she doesn't admit it.

The sad part is many people dont realize their preferences are simply programmed by society and many times society molds people to pedestalize everything that doesnt look like them.

 

Im proud of who I am and who my women are though. I dont get caught up in worrying if any chicks out there like black dudes or not. Im not ugly, and I stay in shape. I get by and have fun...so Im good with that. Theres plenty of women out there who find me attractive, and it makes ya forget all the ones who didnt...thats the mindset dudes need to have...especially asian guys. Thats an entirely different situation than this one. Wanting and preferring people who look the same is fine and natural. Studies have been done on this when it comes to humans and some animals. Its a whole different cookie when every race out there

has a sizeable amount of their people who pedestalize white people. Colonialism has much to do with that. Im sure if Asians took over the world the way europeans did, that wed have a more Asian standard of beauty pushed over much of the world through strong Asian media.

 

In OPs case she is scapegoating men who look like her and putting men who are different from her on a high pedestal.

 

I believe it says a lot about what she thinks about he.r people in comparison to whites. Nothing Ive said is that out there. I hope people can realize just how powerful nurture is. Based on my experience growing up and living in NYC and then living in the suburbs for college, I can tell you suburban women are more closed off to interracial dating. Lack of exposure to minorities would explain this.

I have a buddy who is black and latino, but looks a bit more black than latin. Hes in the military and has been stationed in Japan. You wouldnt believe the way women threw themselves at him. If being foreign and unique wasnt enough a lot of those women got off on the bbc stereotype and wanted to see what itd be like to bed him.

 

However, despite all that a lot still acting weird about dating him. White guys didnt have as much of the same problem he said when it came to open dating.

 

And hell, I wasnt surprised because I know people in our country do the same thing. They might fool around with certain people, but will cancel them out as dating prospects based on certain things, regardless if they get along or not.

 

But its all good...people like what they like and know who they want to end up with. Such is life.

This observation just goes to further my belief that preferences are externally driven...and it's unfortunate that, like you state here, people are willing to allow their natural attraction to be superceded by these "preferences" because they care more about what others think of them...
