nofool4u
Ok, I have this beef with women. And no, this isn't a woman hating post. I think both sexes have some things from the other that just downright annoy us. Here is one of mine. Ladies, when watching a movie, a game, or our favorite sitcom, is it necessary to talk the ENTIRE TIME???? I have to press pause at least 20 times during a show so I can enjoy it, which then makes it unenjoyable. I don't mind a little conversation while watching TV, but if I have to pause every other minute, doesn't that tell yall something?
whichwayisup
Instead of directing this and making it about ALL women, why not focus on 'the woman' in your life and complain about her. Why bring 'all women' into this? You'd probably get more responses too. People get quite put off (once again) seeing threads like this. Next time, just before your show, or game starts on tv, ask her to please wait to talk to you during half time or the commercials. Tell her that it really bothers you that she talks to you while you're watching tv. Or, to make a point to her (yes it's immature, but she WILL get the point) wait till she's on the phone and then start talking to her, keep going even if says "I'm on the phone" just keep going.. Then tell her, ' now you know how I feel when you talk to me while I'm watching something on TV.'
Author nofool4u
Most women I know do this and like to talk too much while watching a program. This is, however, not a women bashing thread. Its just one of those things that make men and women different. Women like to talk alot, men like to have their unfettered TV time. Women could complain about men wanting to watch TV so much and not conversing. Its a light hearted topic not meant to offend anyone. Men and women are just different. Talking during a show isn't the end of the world. Just damn annoying, as are, I'm sure, alot of things us guys do that annoy women. I remember a scene in Everybody Loves Raymond where his mom, dad, and Robert come over, and the guys want to watch a game, and the first thing out of Frank's mouth was, "yea, lets not ruin this by talking". As far as your suggestion, I did say, "honey, don't be mad, but can we talk during commercials? I really want to watch this" Of course it didn't sit well. But she did understand the next time she was watching one of her chick flicks, or programs and I started talking. I had to give her a "see, you like to concentrate on your shows too"
