FrustratedStandards
I guess that makes it easier to pick a man then. If he can't achieve a body like that no matter how hard he tries, then he doesn't have the kind of genes that I would want in a man anyways. It kind of helps filter out the gene pool you don't want. I don't want kids, but if god forbid it ever happens, I am more likely to keep it if its with good genetics than with a man who is overall unattractive and has to work super hard just to be decent.

Why would any attractive man want you though? Based on what you've said about yourself, you are definitely not relationship material (don't want kids, want a man to spend money on you), yet you are also not into casual sex. Even if you are very attractive, you simply don't have enough to offer to a hot guy with options.
Disenchantedly Yours
Women with higher expectations will be single longer. What if my expectation is this: Mystery Guy How long will I be single for?
KathyM
Women with higher expectations will be single longer. Not necessarily. Some are lucky enough to meet a guy who fits their high standards early on in life, so they know a good thing when it comes along, and don't hesitate to take the plunge. I met my husband at 18 years old, and married him at 19. Still married after all these years. And he was the total package: smart, handsome, ambitious, muscular, polite, caring, etc. The pickings get worse the older you get, not better. You have the greatest chance of finding the good ones early on in life when most are not yet married. That's true of women also.
Ruby Slippers
Ruby: In your posts you often imply you have dated a lot. Can you give an approximate number? When are you settling down? This is off topic, but OK. From 14-17, I had a few high school boyfriends. From 17-30, I had 4 serious relationships, and I was always looking for Mr. Right. I never had a party phase. I always wanted to settle down with one great guy, enjoy some years with just us, then start a family. Almost all of these guys wanted to get married, but there were issues that I thought would prevent long-term success (like their crazy, meddling families, GIGS on his part, etc.). It only felt truly right with one of those guys, but his interfering family was a huge problem. We are still good friends, he is now my business partner, and we're running a successful business together. From 30-33, I hardly dated at all. This was my cynical, I'll never meet a good match, self-reflective time. It kind of sucked, but in the big picture, I think it was good for me to be on my own for a while. From 33-35, I've dated with the intention of finding a long-term partner, but no luck yet. So I had an FWB or two in there, because I was lonely and sick of not having a man in my life in any capacity. I still have about 5 years to meet a great guy and have a family. I'm optimistic that I can make it happen - but preparing myself for that not happening, too. These days, I'm not too worried about it. I'm just enjoying the men who do come into my life, assessing them fairly, and continuing to look until I find one I'd actually want to reproduce with.

Doesn't mean we can all get or go after our ideal anyway. That being said, the guy fs posted is not that rare. kaylan
East Asian fashion is girlish, though --- women wear clothes that are reminiscent of little girls. Why is that fashion choice bothersome? Why is Western fashion preferable? In many parts of Asia, it wouldn't be seen as "dressing like a little girl." That's the crux of the problem with this discussion, the Western-centric attitude. Granted, anyone who wants to bang a 12 year old is messed up, but some of the additional comments levied are just reflecting no understanding of the international community, Eastern fashion, etc. And where do you draw the line? I'm 27. When I wear pigtails and a Hello Kitty sweatshirt am I dressing like a little girl? What if I wear a Teddy Bear headband? What if I wear plaid skirts and stockings and schoolgirl shoes? I own ALL those things and not for 'fetish' use. Just because I lived somewhere that they were reasonably in fashion and *I* thought they were cute. Omg....again a couple of you dont seem to have a firm grasp on Japanese fashion at all. Nor do you seem to get the points being made. The fashion in the far east is not about passing adult women off as prepubescent girls...its about looking cute....its not something thats always sexual. What I and DY have been arguing is the troll and others sexual attraction to female who are actually being presented as prepubescent girls. Japan is all about being kawaii (cute)....but the culture isnt trying to make a 25 year old woman look like an actual 12 year old girl. They give her a young girls style to look cute. What I am against is taken prepubscent looking women and presenting them as children...Japan is not collectively trying to do that...so you are arguing something that isnt being done. In anime and pop culture, the women dressed up like little girls will obviously be of sexually reproductive age. You can usually tell in the face or body....and I see no problem with dressing up women in something cute when they can be identified as adults. What i do have a problem with is people sexualizing children or sexualizing people they actually try to pass off as children. Again, Japanese culture does NOT try to pass women off as non-sexually mature persons, they try to pass women off as cute....ie...kawaii

kaylan
Look, if you really want to get further comments on this, start another thread. Try not to make it about porn. Then perhaps a genuine discussion can ensue. DY she cant comabt your points with an actual rebuttal so shes dismissing you by claiming "you always talk about porn". What she fails to realize is that child porn ties into festishizing of children or women who appear to be children. So your points were very on topic DY.

Its one thing for a women to dress like a girl and be viewed sexually. Shes still a recognizable woman. Its an ENTIRELY different thing to take a women who appears to be a young child and present her in a sexual light. This happens a lot and people assume its a minor and not an adult they are looking at. Thats what we are saying is wrong. You think thats right? Lemme guess....is simulated rape roleplay ok to? And I dont mean rape fantasy that looks safe...I mean outright violent looking rape porn...is that ok simply because its simulated? And about Megan Fox....i think you need to find recent pics of her or pics when she wasnt her slimmest. The girl def has a plump little booty.

kaylan
Nah, it is not just Americans. I rarely see males around the world that are nothing but muscle. It just doesn't happen unless you work out a lot WITH weights. You dont need weights to put on good muscle and get ripped. Look at gymnasts bodies. Those dudes are powerful, explosive, and ripped and only use their body weight to stay in shape. Body weight exercises take more innovation and reps to build the muscle weights will, but they still build muscle.
Titania22
In terms of ideal man, I currently don't have one, as I am trying to train myself to see a larger range of men as attractive, and don't want to get mentally caught on 1 specific narrow view of perfection (that would probably be out of my league anyway). I will say in terms of ideal, i like a full head of hair, and the absence of a pot belly. In terms of whether I have my ideal female body. I don't currently have what I consider my ideal size (for what is possible for me). In terms of actually volume, I am not far from it though. But in terms of ability to get there, it requires so much self discipline to get it and maintain it, that I may as well be far from it. Obviously the closer I get to it, the more attractive I feel. But my body naturally wants to be a little larger than my ideal, so it is fighting against the tide. To put into perspective, my ideal hip measurement is 99cm, but my body gravitates to 103cm, and I having virtually no luck losing the last 4cms. Young September Carinno. Can anybody guess why? Is it her bracelets?
udolipixie
Wow looking at what the women here are posting, let's just say that beauty is definitely not in the eye of the beholder, and that women are just as or more visual than men. Seems like all you broads posted the same guys. Body from a fitness magazine, leading man looks, 3-4 inches above the typical mans height. There used to be a time where a woman saw beauty in the bravery in a mans eyes, or other more subtle physical signs of masculinity, but I see that's all dead: today's women are unrealistically picky, more vulgar versions of men. Are you women, probably most of you physical 6's with the minds of 9's, the equivalents of the men you dream about? Or do you think that because some of those guys will have a one night stand with you that you are in that league? I think my only standard is not be fat and be of my race, my ideal woman is a work in progress after that. I would never be able to decide they need to have this exact breast size, or wear this specific type of underwear, or spend all of the first date trying to measure the hip-to-waist ratio in my head like women seem to do with men. I'm sure most of you women are American too, although women in Western europe are not that far behind. Disposable economy, disposable culture, and most important of all, disposable people. It's not all dead some gals still find beauty in that way while other some are visual in the sense of body and facial features. To me it's a toss up on if today's gals are unrealistically picky more vulgar versions of guys as the guys have posted their perfect ideals as well. Interesting that you only ask the gals about if they think they are equivalent or in the same league as their ideals when both genders are posting. It's not a gal thing to size up a person as many guys have specific type of breast size, facial structure, facial features, skin color, hair length, and body shape. Did you also take note of what the guys are posting and question about their nationality or perhaps only the gal's ideals offend you due to a possible insecurity complex or bias?
