My ex texted me Friday. Now, nothing.

I have an ex that I dated 3 years ago. Technically, we were first loves. We didn't date long, but it took me a while to get over him. We've remained friends for quite a bit and have always been cool with each other. This past December, we were hanging out and messing around, and he told me he loved me, which I thought was odd. I was going through a rough time, so it didn't develop into anything more.

This past Friday, my friends and I went to a party, and he was there. When I went up to him, he was so shocked but excited to see me and gave me a huge hug. Then on, whenever I talked to his friends, he came over. When I danced with them, he watched from afar. We danced together, and we both said we'd missed each other. It was a lot of fun. He started to put his hands on me towards the end of the night, but my friends and I were tired, so we went home.

When I got back, we were texting, and I basically told him I wanted to see more of him because I'll always still have that small feeling for him and got that way around him. He told me he had work at 5 AM, but he would have came to see me, and that he hadn't had any sexual contact since the last time we fooled around. He told me he'd always have that emotional/sexual connection with me also.

The next day, I woke up, and we had a bit of small talk, but eventually, he didn't text back. I eventually said, "Well, I meant everything I said last night and hope I can see you soon." All I got was, "See you soon!" I was disappointed.

Anyways, he keeps telling me a phone goes two ways, so I texted him last night. We flirted a bit, and he asked what my opinion was of him the other night. When I asked the same question, he played dumb ("What? What do you mean? Huh?"), and eventually just never texted back. Hours later that night, I texted him, "It actually hurts my feelings a lot that you say a phone goes two ways, but when I try to have you in my life, you never text back."

No response, but he's been on Facebook/Twitter/etc. like nothing is wrong. What the heck is going on? I know I definitely didn't do anything wrong.

Also, my friend suggested that we go back to the same place (since there's always a party there, and he's always there) and I completely ignore him and hang out with all the other guys there. I want to do that, sure, but I don't want him to think I'm a stalker.

I think he just got cold feet.

He's trying to back off at xxx milesperhour, and he doesn't know how to tell you - so he's let the trail go cold.

I would just ignore him.

It seems eminently clear to me that he is a little immature about things, so let him go.
