Necris Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I don't know I'm starting to feel like anime women are more attractive than real-life women, plus I don't feel as bad looking at them, unfortunately they do not exist making them unattainable but at the same time it seems that having a relationship with a real-life woman is almost just as unattainable and as the years go by more and more unattainable:(. Is this normal? What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are it's not surprising to find anime characters more attractive as they're likely idealized with no to low imperfections. I know plenty of young teens who carry bishonen/bishouho close to their heart or loins preferring them to interacting with guys/gals. I'm a bit curious as to the whole you don't feel as bad looking at them as you do gals. Any particular reason(s) you're aware of that you'd care to share as to why you feel bad looking at gals and anime gals? As you're a guy I doubt that the passing years will have such a decrimental effect on your dating life depending on your age preferences if any. It's most likely your attractiveness and traits that will hinder you and make a relationship with a gal unattainable.

I have been feeling like I'm slipping away from reality lately, but that's just me and the strange workings of my mind. @udolpixie I don't know but its hard to explain I see women all the time and interact with them but I don't know they just seem distant, very distant, to the point I'm starting to feel closer to the women of fantasy (this really isn't just about physical appearances but anime women do have a more idealized form alot of the time). I don't even have women friends let alone any friends so that might have something to do with it. As for the feeling bad about looking at women, it makes me feel dirty, its a religious and possibly psychological thing.

Seriously, you need to listen to what your telling yourself. Its become problematic. Unplug and make some new friends. Start gradually cutting down on the amount of time you spend on the computer each day if you can.

Anime girls are often idealized and can be drawn with no flaws. Hell, it's actually harder to draw a flawed woman than one who is perfect.

I actually do try to socialize with people on a daily basis but I'm terrible with people and I find it extremely difficult to connect with others so I'm not the type of guy to make friends especially women (also I really don't get much out of being friends with a woman). @Somedude Its not really just a physical thing it seems like more which makes it wierd.

But more seriously I was just saying real women just seem so distant to me, and relationship possibilities seem to be somewhere around the range of 0%, I do find interacting with women stressful and strange though I try to do it anyway but it doesn't go anywhere, though this still doesn't explain my liking of anime girls. I guess one reason I may feel this way is due to inexperience a few months ago I remember simply shaking a woman's hand I don't know but even that felt strange (probably because of the skin contact).

Talking to women is unfortanately a trial and error, do not fear the results, think of it as a MMORPG in the real world. Level up and talk to women, and grind up to max level and get yourself pimped up. I have failed many times on dates, talking to women, and I love having those memories because i learn alot from them. Everyone is a little socially awkward, at times, but talking to women is very similar to talking to men in my eyes. You need to simply filter a little more then you would talking to your friends, assuming you have friends of course. You are not comfortable in your skin and fear your own desires. You look a women, say dam shes cute, and smile at her if you have eye contact. Women loved to be checked out, makes them feel sexy, but just dont do it creepily.

I don't learn much at all, and I don't get the RPG comparison, you only level up when you have success, no success no "level up", women just aren't interested in me it seems.

Is one of your goals to love and be loved by a female human being? If so, what are you doing to accomplish this goal? Please note that negativity does not help in accomplishing any goal one has.

I would like that, though it doesn't seem likely since I'm not the type of guy women want, and no I haven't given up since its too early. I was just noticing I'm starting to feel more for fictional characters than real women, probably because real women just seem so distant to me. I honestly can't remember the last time I even touched a woman, and by touch I don't mean sexually since I am a virgin I mean literally simply touched a woman like a simple handshake or hug, so it seems in a sense they are becoming just as fake as fictional characters. If so, what are you doing to accomplish this goal? Please note that negativity does not help in accomplishing any goal one has. I do try to talk to women and I try to force myself to become more social and confident but to no avail. As for being negative, I'm naturally pessimistic I find optimism silly based on personal experience being optimistic about something tends to be unrealistic and it doesn't help if anything it makes it worse as failure is even more painful, and this isn't just about relationships this goes for anything in life I could be optimistic about doing excellent on a test and even feel good taking it but it doesn't mean I will pass. In real life women aren't designed to be loyal or trusting. It's nature for women to be hypergamous status hungry beings. What we men are doing is believe in fantasy women just like how women believe in tall dark handsome white knight fake men with a perfect personality. Another thing is women won't protect you like in anime. It's simply not in their nature. With that side, they will protect their children but not other people outside her sphere. Part 3: Women aren't designed to think about life as deep as men. We males are natural builders of life shaping matter into objects. Think about it for a sec. Without men everything such as technology and houses wouldn't exist. We males have the power of God and women manipulate men to use that power because women can never have such greatness. Anime women if you think about it are true equal females while real women will always be doomed to be inferior in every way. (mind you I don't hate women. I'm just being blunt and truthful)
