I have heard nothing but "My truck" this.... or "My Truck" that... i was joking around with him and said " You act like you love that truck more than you love me" and he didn't say anything. Not a " No i don't" or "Quit Playing'." Nothing Is this normal... i mean , i know he's excited but thats all he's talking about. I have no clue how to tell him in a nice way to SHUT UP ABOUT THAT STUPID TRUCK ! Help.. "Once More" ... Link to post Share on other sites

I told him i was happy for him, and i was very interested when he was telling me about it. But he was kinda BLAH toward me when i got mine. Thats why i am so stress with him. undecided Posted June 24, 2004 Share Posted June 24, 2004 i have 2 cars that i love very much. they are a very large part of my life, as i need to learn everything about them to keep them running and fix them effectivly and efficently. i need them to survive, with out my vehicles i cant get to school or work. i cant learn or survive. when everything was okay in my relationship..... i was accused of this as well. i live eat sleep and breathe cars, im taking my diploma, degree, and masters in automotive. that automobile is the single most revolutionary creation this world has seen. its influence has changed the world, and its power drives the econmy. vehicles bring freedom, happiness, sex apeal. if youre short you can get in a big suv and be taller than anyone, if you are weak or slow a sports car can make you faster and stronger than anyone else. ugly people feel attractive in a red convertible. i know it may feel like he possessed this thing over you. but it is an important thing in a guys life. maybe im just biased because its such a part of guys, but we are passionate about our vehicles. women shouldnt think of it as a threat. i dont see myslef driving my car out of a burning building, i see myself carrying the person i loved. its just glass and rubber. its a hobby, its an intereest, its a way of life. but you are a person, and he does treat you that way. if he doesnt then hes a jerk and you should let him know. people do get passionate about their vehicles. im sure hes proud of it, but im sure hes proud of you too. its just easier to brag about a car infront of it. i dont know if im clear or as i come off as a weirdo, im just probably the most intense auto enthusiest on this forum. im sure there will be other extremes to the responces. just rubber and glass.
