Feminism and real men.

Recommended Posts

Feminism has something to do with absentee fathers when there are women these days who think it is some big statement of independence against men to have a kid with no father involved.

As I said, how many boys with absentee fathers do YOU know whose Dads fought to be there for them or even asked to be there for them. I know quite a few whose mothers attempted very strongly, as TW's mother did in his anecdote, to get their kids' fathers involved and the fathers dipped out anyway. So, I'm pretty sure that the impact of what you say is minimal if not nonexistant.

Granted, there are women who will have babies alone these days, via technology, when they can't find a suitable mate (MOST of these women wish they could find a suitable mate but just really want kids), and I think that's fine, just as I think gay parents adopting is fine, etc, etc. I would think a man wanting to have a baby alone would be fine too, but tech has not made that nearly as possible or affordable as it is for women.
