antineutrino Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 My dad got a job in a new city. The apartment only has 2 bedrooms, but there are 4 of us. I have no privacy and very little opportunity to just be surrounded by peace and quiet (only really late at night when everyone else has gone to sleep). I don't know anyone here, and will only be living here for 2.5 months before I move to a new city. What's the best way to deal with this? I get so bored in public because I have no one to do anything with.
Shindig Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Is it an option to join a gym or a club of some sort? Maybe take a class in language or volunteer at a community garden or something like that.
pink_sugar Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 That doesn't seem like a huge deal. I had to share a one bedroom with my dad and his ex wife at 17. My bed was in the middle of the livingroom and I had absolutely no privacy whatsoever. My dad would have people over late at night playing poker right by the bed when I was tired after getting off work. i was 17 and there was nothing I could do about it. I don't think it's appropriate to have your 17 year old daughters bed in the middle of the living room unless you have no guests over at all.
