iandr0idos
So first of all, some of you may notice that I am 16, not exactly they age for dating, which I accept. However, I really need some help to maintain my sanity. I've known this girl for about a year so far. To me, she is perfect, there could be nothing else I could ask for. However, she's been in a stable relationship for three years, and is also going off to college. Yes, she is two years older than me. I'm not asking for help on how I can steal her away. I want to forget her, even though I will probably not meet anybody like her again. I can't stop thinking about her, and every time I do, I go a little more insane. Anybody that can help me get over her, please do! If not, I seriously feel that I may do much nastier things to myself...
Philosoraptor
She is the object you are fixated on. What you need to do is shift the fixation onto ideally yourself. I remember that age and I had a crazy crush as well that I believed was perfect. Nothing ever came of it and by the time high school ended it didn't matter anymore anyways. I'd say either get a new crush or find a new hobby. You just need something to focus on right now to help you migrate away from this girl.
LoveAnimals
I believe this is an intense infatuation. You are putting this girl (whom im going to assume you dont know very well?) on a pedestal and idealizing her. Trust me you will eventually fall for someone else. Hang in there :)
