I've dreamt about S every night for the past two weeks..

Recommended Posts

During the day, I'm okay. It's been about 7 weeks of NC...I'm still sad at night, but getting better.

What I can't get over is that I dream of her each night almost. I wake up and think wow another dream of S...

Anyone else go through this?

7 weeks of rehab, congrats. *applause*

I think you are doing just fine. All your emotions won't just disappear it will take time. You still have some more stages to go through. Dreams happen from time to time. Some will be wonderful others unpleasant.

How are you coping? Are you still firm on choosing what's expected of you by your family/religion?

What, specifically, are you doing to rebuild/reconcile your marriage? What changes are you making, what actions are you taking?

What are you actively DOING to change your focus off of S?

Stop trying to analyze everything that comes along in regards to your A. Stop looking for meaning and realize this is just how you're dealing with the loss.

Listen to Owl

If what he says falls on deaf ears then do the right by your wife and end your marriage

It seems to me at the moment that you are trying to romanticise your affair - remember, affairs do not represent real life (former WS posting here)

Dreams are yor subconcious discharging emotions you did not allow, or suspressed during the day in conscious thought. It is a cleansing and necessary for mental health and stability.

What EXACTLY did you dream?

What happens in the dreams, and the feelings they provoked, are MORE important than the players who appear in them (though the players can be related and of importance.)

How did YOU feel as they were your dreams? Powerless? Confident? Weak? Insecure? Lost? Confused? Sad?

You will dream about what is on your mind.

Stay busy and tired. No time to even "think of" S - and you won't dream of S!
