well i'm a bit unemployed at the moment. not too terrible as i've just enough savings to scrape through the summer and get a car. thank god. but if i want to continue with school next year i'm going to have to find somewhere to live. and cheap.

i have a job lined up for the fall, but i'm considering nannying instead. i've been looking through the classifieds and i've found some adds that specifically say there's a live-in option (some even provide cars :D so i wouldn't have to buy one!) but others say they are looking for an au pair. does an au pair live in the home?

also, i was wondering if anyone had words of caution as to what to look out for when i'm going on interviews. are there any questions i should ask (about living arrangements or duties) or should i avoid certain families (single father, etc.)?

has anyone every been a nanny? any good or bad experiences you'd like to share? has anyone hired a nanny for their kids?

thanks a bunch,

lydia

I apologize in advance before I post this.

Did you ever see this movie called /The babysitter'? (Alicia Silverstone).

.....................I'm kidding..…………..I’m so mean. :)

It seems like a good deal for you not to pay rent and all, but there's more to it than that.

Problem can result from horny husband or jealous wife.

You may want to take a course or two on childcare to limit your liabilities.

Some States require a license for caregivers.
