I want to get back together with my ex

About 2 months ago, my (now ex) girlfriend for 4 months broke up with me. The only reason was that she was too busy and she didn't want a boyfriend. I'm 17 and she's 16. I know that I could spend the rest of my life with her. She's everything I want in a girl, but she doesn't want a relationship. For the past 2 months, I gave her some space, but I miss her so much! She's always on my mind. I've tried to move on, since it seems like I don't have a chance with her anymore, but every other girl seems faceless. I know that I am truely in love with this girl. I don't know what to do anymore. Should I try to hang out with her more and get closer to her again or should I back away for good? Please help.

A four month relationship is very short. You don't have as much of yourself invested as you now believe. You'll get over her rather quickly when you decide to do it.

She has spoken and you must respect her decision. You cannot have a relationship with this girl.

 

Back off completely. Let her go. Give yourself some time to mourn and get your head straight. I gaurantee you that by fall, those other girls will have faces.

Thanks for the advice, I have backed off. Also, she's going away for a month. I think that will help me get over her. I know that I can't spend my life waiting for her when there are others out there. No matter how hard it is, I will have to move on. Thanks again.
