mauilurve
Ok so I was using my boyfriend's phone awhile ago and noticed that he had bookmarked a site for an app called Palringo on an Android marketplace site. He has an HTC Surround, but its a Windows phone, so it runs on that, not Android. I tried to go on the site, but it looks like the link no longer works. I've googled this Palringo thing to see what it is and its an instant messanger/chat site. As far as I can tell he's never signed up for it. Nothing in his email, his username that he uses for everything doesn't come up and the Palringo app is not on his phone. I asked him why it was on his phone and he said he didn't know what it was or why it was there. He said maybe he bookmarked it when he was looking for a free texting app to start using (which is true, we both used Text Free for awhile to save on phone bills). He also said maybe his sister bookmarked it (she was using his phone and she uses an Android) because all 3 of his sisters use instant messaging instead of texting. Another thing, we believe the phone was a refurbished one. He broke his old phone and sent it to HTC for repair and they sent him the one he has now, which we believe was a refurbished one. Could this link have been on there from the previous owner? My question is, should I be concerned about this? He doesn't have anything else strange on his phone, leaves it out around me all the time, etc. Also, he left the link in his bookmarks for a long time before he decided to delete it (I kept bitching to him to delete it because I thought he was talking to another girl). If he was doing something bad on that app would he really leave it bookmarked for so long?
Bobibble
I wouldn't look too much into it. Working for a cell phone company, if it was a refurbished phone, bookmarks will stay there and an android phone can bring back old bookmarked links even after deleting (don't rely on that though). You're fine! Take a deep breath and relax. If he starts to hide his phone from you or inserts a password, I would start speculating but I don't think he is hiding anything from you at this point. Thank you for responding, I feel a little better. I'm not 100% sure its a refurbished phone though, he thought it was because the old one had scratches and the one he received back from HTC repair didn't have those scratches. Also, his phone is not an Android, don't know if that changes your answer lol.
veggirl
Has your BF cheated on you before or something? Why are you playing PI like this, it seriously sounds totally innocuous and I'm curious as to how it got to the point of googling the app and then posting about it on LS
