warrenorabbits
About a year and a half ago I met a girl on OKCupid. She was interested, but at the time she was too young for me (I was 19 and she admitted when we talked that she was 16, which is below age of consent in my state). Now she's at least 17 (age of consent), and I would love to date her -- especially since I'm only going to be home for another month and a half anyway. She lives about 200 miles (350 km) away. She didn't give her name on OKCupid, but it was very easy to guess from her alias. I looked her up on Facebook recently, and since she lives in a small town I was immediately able to find her. Is there a way to contact her and explain how I found her that would eliminate the creep factor and make her likely to want to talk to me? I guess I could just be matter-of-fact and charming. What do you think?
Phanpooh
LDR is a lie to get laid when u r highschool and gonna college. It only work with love and passion but later, if 1 of them look outside and found any interesting, break up. You r too young to be dameged that much. Yeah, in relationship they grow together but apart. And that could kill your truth. But if she worth it, keep a try, it just pain and time will you.
Author warrenorabbits
I'm sorry, Phanpooh ... I can't really understand your reply.
Aquamelon
Why not reach out to her on OKcupid again? People rarely delete their accounts and usually get an email in their inbox when they receive a message. There is a chance that she'll see your message, remember you, and reply back. I forgot to mention: she eventually posted her real age and so her profile was deleted.
Aquamelon
How long ago did you guys end all contact? I mean, did it ever extend outside Okcupid? How exactly did things leave off?
TMichaels
I guess I don't understand why you just don't give her "a Poke" on FB and see if she responds. If she does, just say you were on FB and ran across her profile and thought you'd "say Hey!" and see how she's been. Best, TMichaels
ana0pera
I think TMichaels has a good idea, make it seem like you accidentally ran across her and you wanted to say hi. take it from there, but do so slowly. There's no need to go into how you found her and why just yet, it seems like the two of you lost touch for a while so who knows what might have changed? Good luck!
pettie
I guess I don't understand why you just don't give her "a Poke" on FB and see if she responds. Lol, that "poke" function is not *that* useless, after all.. Give it a try!
Author warrenorabbits
I just sent her the following message: Hi _______! Not sure if you remember me -- we started talking on OKCupid a while back but broke off just as our conversation was getting interesting. Fortunately I chanced across your profile here. I hope we can pick up again sometime; I was quite eager to get to know you!
