* Take yoga, kickboxing, or pilates

* Spend more time with my family

* Watch all the chick flicks I want and cry like a baby

* Write my definitive work on "Chocolate through the Ages"

* Take walks around town; hikes in the mountains

* Play bar trivia with my pals

* Do some kick-a$$ research on Mars and submit my paper to a good journal

* Practice my synchronized swimming

* Clean my room, pack my stuff and prepare for my move in August

* Go to church

* Read some Jane Austen

* Sing some karaoke

* Play dress up

* Work on my website (no porn!)

* Do some sewing; if daring, learn how to knit

Any other ideas?

It sounds like you have a lot to do to keep you occupied!!! :)

Keeping busy helps in the "heart healing" process.

I wish you luck!!!

Starting Over

Caterpillar Girl:

Thanks for the post...I'm really down in the dumps over my break-up...just laying around watching STUPID movies on cable, smoking (just started again), etc.

I think I'm going to make a list today just like you did. And when I get in another relationship I'm going to keep doing all the cool things I've started...I won't compromise them just to be with another person.

Thanks so much for the encouraging post....its a Godsend. Hope you are doing well....I noticed that you made that post last august...I am also getting ready for a move this august, so I'm going to include that on my list.

Hope you are well and keep up taking care of yourself the way you wanted to when you sent that post. It's obvious that you have a lot going for you...creativity, courage, a good sense of humour.

God Bless,

S.O.

I am doing the following:

1. not cleaning my room

2. not listening to my favorite station

3. spending time with my niece (turning her joy into my joy, too.)

4. sleeping late watching movies

5. cooking alot

6. random visits to the mall

7. playing with myself

8. giving things away

9. buying cigars i dont even smoke

10. laugh to myself about the whole thing

11. call her and make jokes about the whole thing (luckily she flows with me)

12. spending time looking for people with greater problems than my own (LOVESHACK) and try to help them

S.O.,

August 2003 is when I joined loveshack; I posted this message a few days ago. So I'm still in the same boat as you. Glad if this helped. Every day gets easier.

Every day gets easier
.

That's good news, CaterpillarGirl :)

That's quite a list! You may also want to try:

* posting outrageously sentimental posts on LS in preparation for your next Hollywood Script

* visiting local health farm to purchase perfect legs and bust - when I last went they were on sale for only £20.

* listening to love songs (same therapeutic effect as chick flicks)
