And flirting doesn't automatically equal having the hots for someone. I can flirt with anyone, whether I am attracted to them or not. It's just fun. So you flirt with someone who you find physically repulsive? Ok then. And someone doesn't have to be insecure to not enjoy a significant other signaling sexual interest to someone else. Thats a legit concern because someone who does that is an affair waiting to happen. If someone "enjoys flirting", then given the perfect opportunity, they WILL cheat.
