Fayebelle
Fear imprisons, faith liberates; fear paralyzes, faith empowers; fear disheartens, faith encourages; fear sickens, faith heals; fear makes useless, faith makes serviceable. --Harry Emerson Fosdick Found this in my in box and thought I'd share - Notice how you could also substitute Love and Hate for Fear and Faith? 4 emotions that can power the world! CurlyIam
I do agree that in your post there, one may make the substitution you are talking about. Generally speaking, I don't think they are equivalents (love with faith, hate with fear). Maybe because I live with fear everyday. I fear letting down my friends. I fear my mom might get sick. I fear my bf's ex might call him up... (again). But confronting it makes me feel better. MAkes me stronger. Hate on the other hand...one does not feel hate, I think. (interesting subject for another thread, does one simply, naturally feel hate or grows to feel it.) I think one grows to feel hate and it is the most distructive feeling one could ever try. I see no use of hate. I dreadit and people who do fall under its spell are weak and getting weaker. Love and faith...maybe faith is a higher, superior form of love. I think their different because one does not necessarily include the other. Faith means acting upon love, trusting unconditionally... I sure wish love included faith. Author Fayebelle
Actually- I don't think any of them can exist w/out the other. Notice all the fears you mentioned revolve around people you love?
